Chapter Text
Isagi's head swam. His eyes fluttered open but there was darkness clouding his vision. As he blinked the darkness away he took in his surroundings. Even though he passed out a second ago he was sitting up right in chair. As he scanned the surrounding area he found out that he was not the only one there. In fact there were a lot of people there and strangely enough they were all people he knew. However they were all footballers or people involved in the Blue Lock project. Some people were conscious while others were still knocked out in their seats.
As he looked around he observed a few things. There were chairs in rows and they were all facing one direction. Everyone was seated in an individual chair or that's what he at least assumes because some people have already gotten up and started to walk around. The room that everyone was in was pretty big too; but that's to be expected because there were quite a few people in here.
Earlier Isagi noticed that everyone was somehow related to football but now that he gets a closer look there was a wide variety of people in the room. There were people from clubs like Bastard München, PXG, Manshine, and Barcha. Isagi noted that there were individual players that he recognized as well such as Itoshi Sae and Bunny Iglesias. Players from the Japanese U-20 team caught his attention as well plus Ego and Anri.
As he looked over at Ego he remembered how they all just appeared here. Normally he would just assume that this was something crazy that Ego was doing but seeing the confusion on his made him rethink that assessment. Isagi was starting to get really nervous. The last thing that he remembered was checking over the most recent stats of the players.
As he was trying to remember more of what happened the voices in the room were suddenly getting louder. Most of the people have awakened and were not happy about getting suddenly kidnapped. Just as the voices started to get unbearably loud something flickered in the corner of his eye. It was coming from the direction the chairs were facing. As Isagi turned to face the direction the flicker came from he noticed that there was a screen.
The screen showed words. As soon as appeared everyone quieted down and turned to the screen. The words were suddenly being read aloud to everyone. “Hello, if you would please sit back down so I can begin explaining.” A few people followed the instructions however there were a few who looked around in confusion. The voice spoke again after about a minute when everyone gave in and just sat down. “You may all call me Novi. Now for the explanation, you are all here to watch the life of someone in this room.”
Once the voice finished speaking it was silent. For about 2 seconds before there was an outrage. Isagi himself stayed silent taking in the information not really knowing how to react. However the out cry didn’t last long as a sharp voice cut in. “Why, what is the point of watching someone's life?” Ego asked with a sharp look in his eyes.
The screen started to display more words and seconds later started to read it aloud again. “Hm.. well you are watching this story because I want entertainment, they need more appreciation, and everyone in this room has some sort of connection to them.” Novi said with a hint of amusement.
The next person to speak up in the weirdly quiet room was, unsurprisingly, Yukimiya. “Okay but who is it and why do we have to watch it besides apparently ‘everyone in this room has a connection to them’?” Why does Yukimiya always ask the questions everyone is afraid to ask? I mean I think that the Blue Lock players are getting second selection flash backs. After that question everyone was understandably tense waiting for the reply.
“Ah..yes..why why why. Everyone always asks the same questions. Honestly I should have just shoved you in here, answered none of your questions and just started playing the videos.” Novi said with an annoyed sigh. “Why you asked.. Because I said so, is that good enough for you Mr. model?” Yukimiya gave a shaky nod before realizing they might not be able to see him. “Uh yes, that was a good enough reply.” He didn’t even bother trying to ask his first question again.
“Anyways, as I was trying to explain, I am going to show you all the life of a person you all would like to get to know better.” The words on the screen were starting to go by faster now. And everyone had a singular thought, who on this earth would I care to learn more about? “The person you guys will be watching is none other than Isagi Yoichi.”
At that people started to turn towards Isagi. Isagi felt like throwing up, however he kept his face perfectly stoic. Most people had a collective thought though well at least it’s Isagi.
“Absolutely not.” Novi got a response out of Isagi but it was definitely not what they wanted to hear.
