The New Adventures of Magia Violet!

Summary:

It's been several months since Magia Violet joined the ranks of the Quattro Magia, and the battle against Enormita has reached an utter standstill!

With neither the magical girls nor the evil organization Enormita making any meaningful progress against the other, will anything be able to break the perfect stalemate they now find themselves in?

And has anyone even seen Magia Violet fight Magia Baiser yet...?

Chapter 1: A Normal Date

Chapter Text

Dark clouds swirled in the sky above Nacht Base. The evil organization’s headquarters was illuminated by the light of an eternal crescent moon, casting the impossible structure in an ethereal glow.

Most would find the sight imposing. Those deep purple clouds were a reminder that they were in Magia Baiser’s domain.

How deliciously evil. There was nowhere Kiwi Araga would rather be.

She’d just stepped through the portal, out of their boring old town and into the twisted landscape of Enormita’s evil pocket dimension, and the sight that greeted her was as wonderful as always.

Especially with the recent addition next to headquarters, now a permanent fixture. From the outside, it almost looked like a normal building from the shadier part of the city, aside from the sign on the side reading “Hotel Enormity”.

Specially constructed by Venalita, exactly according to Kiwi’s requests. How that stumpy-armed little creature had constructed it was a mystery. Magic, probably, but that wasn’t important. The results were what mattered. Luxury double beds, hot tubs in every room, fully-stocked closets full of toys…

Yes, Kiwi and her beloved Baiser-chan were going to have another great weekend there very soon.

Smiling as she imagined the possibilities, Kiwi pushed open the doors to Nacht Base, humming to herself. She practically skipped through the stark grey concrete halls of the villainous lair, her footsteps echoing in the stillness. She reached the meeting room, threw open the doors, and—

She stopped dead in her tracks.

There was Utena, at her usual place at the head of the table, and sitting next to her… was Magia Azure.

Well, actually it was Sayo Minakami—neither of them were transformed at the moment.

“What’s she doing here!?” Kiwi exclaimed, storming across the room and pointing a trembling finger at the magical girl.

Utena and Sayo both blinked at her in surprise.

“W-What?” Utena stammered. “Kiwi, you know we let the Quattro Magia hang out at Nacht Base now…”

It was true. Ever since everyone had found out that Utena was pulling double-duty as one of the magical girls, Enormita had opened up their evil headquarters to the heroines as well. Kiwi didn’t really mind, especially since Utena looked so cute in her Magia Violet outfit. That almost made up for having to share their hideout with the magical girls, even the stupid yellow one.

As long as they remembered their place.

“I know that!” Kiwi snapped. “But she’s in my seat! I usually sit there next to you!”

Sayo stood up immediately, nearly knocking over the chair. “I’m sorry, Kiwi-san. I’m still getting used to things here. You can sit here if you prefer. And I suppose, if it’s alright, I could… maybe… sit on the floor, next to Utena…”

She knelt down next to Utena’s chair, and Kiwi’s eyes nearly bulged out of her skull.

“No, wait! I wanna sit there too!”

Kiwi immediately scrambled to the other side of Utena and dropped to her knees, her hands possessively gripping Utena’s thigh.

Utena looked at the empty chairs around the table—enough seats for every member of both teams, when they had their usual meetings—and sighed. She looked down at Kiwi and Sayo on the floor and placed a hand on each of their heads, stroking their hair idly. Kiwi made a sound almost like a purring cat.

“Actually, there was something I wanted to talk to you about, now that you’re both here…” Utena said.

“Oh, you mean our weekend plans?” Sayo said, lifting her head. “I’ve been looking forward to being overpowered and taken captive by Magia Baiser again…”

“Hang on, we did that last time. You promised I could continue my illicit affair with Magia Violet this weekend!” Kiwi said.

Utena smiled weakly. “Uh… I know… But, you see, the thing is…”

She clasped her hands together in an apologetic gesture, lowering her head as much as she could. The attempt at a bow didn’t quite work when both of them were already kneeling at her feet.

“I’m really sorry, both of you!” she said. “I totally forgot I was scheduled for this thing on the weekend. It was really short notice. The local library asked Magia Violet to show up to support their summer reading event. It’s just a tiny little local event, but they really wanted me to make an appearance…”

Sayo sighed, and offered a sympathetic look. “I understand, Utena. Community appearances are part of our job, too, aren’t they?”

“Huh?” Kiwi’s eyes darted from Sayo, back to Utena. “But… what about…”

“I was looking forward to spending some time with you, too. You know I was! I promise we’ll do something special next weekend,” Utena said. She paused. Took a deep breath before the next part. “But, in the meantime… I was thinking… maybe… I mean, it might be nice… if you two spent some time alone together? Like, you could just… get to know each other better?”

Sayo blinked, and exchanged a glance with Kiwi.

“Oh… Sure,” she said, sounding a bit defeated, and not in the way she enjoyed. “I suppose I could—”

The gears were turning in Kiwi’s head. “Hang on… Just the two of us… You mean you’re gonna send us… there? To the Room?” Kiwi had gone pale. “W-Well, if that’s a direct order from Baiser-chan, then… I’ll make sure you’re satisfied…”

Utena’s jaw dropped, and she shook her head frantically. “No, that’s not what I was talking about at all! I just meant you could go on a date! Like, a normal, wholesome one! Besides, I said I was going to be busy that day, so I wouldn’t even be around to watch you or anything!”

“I’m… sorry, did I miss something?” Sayo said. “Which room are we talking about?”

“Just a date…” Kiwi said. Her voice was deflated, almost disappointed. “That’s… fine, too, I guess. Yeah. But, I mean, I’m pretty sure we’ve got cameras in there, so if you wanted to lock us up…”

“What’s wrong with just going on a normal date? No powers, no fighting, no elaborate roleplay scenarios…” Utena said. “Ever since the teams joined up, you two haven’t really had much time to just talk to each other, have you? Technically you’re both each others’ girlfriends too, after all…”

Sayo and Kiwi looked at each other.

“Well… in a manner of speaking, yes…” Sayo said.

“I almost never forget her name anymore!” Kiwi added.

“That’s… something, I guess… Anyways, I think you’re going to have lots of fun together!” Utena said. “You’ve got a whole lot in common, like, uh…” She thought for a moment, then put it aside. “Anyways, it’ll be a really good chance to get to know each other! Tell me all about it later, okay?”

Kiwi held her phone in one hand, and the drink she’d ordered in the other. She’d given the barista some complicated order and ended up with something that seemed to be more whipped cream and sprinkles than actual coffee. She adjusted her angle a few times, raising her phone for a better shot, trying a number of different facial expressions. A wink, a playful tongue out. She snapped one photo after another, looking vaguely dissatisfied with all of them.

Sayo sat at the other side of the table, watching the whole ritual play out, as she stirred some cream and sugar into her own simple cup of coffee.

“Um… Kiwi-san…” Sayo said after a moment.

“Yeah?” Kiwi didn’t look at her.

“If you’d like… Well… We could take a photo together?”

Kiwi lowered her phone for just a moment. “Huh? Why?”

“Because we are on a date, after all… Aren’t we?” Sayo said. She attempted a smile. “We could even send it to Utena! Show her what a good time we’re having together.”

“Hmm… Sure, I guess.”

“Okay, should I just—”

Before Sayo could do anything, Kiwi had scooted her chair over, put an arm around her, and snapped a photo. Kiwi giving a wink and a smile, and Sayo looking like a deer in front of an oncoming car.

Kiwi took a look at it, gave a nod, and went back to scrolling.

They sat in silence for a while longer. Kiwi’s eyes were glued to her phone. Sayo watched her for a little bit, then felt awkward for staring too long, and averted her eyes. She went back to reading the cafe menu for probably the fourteenth time.

Come to think of it, she didn’t know much about Kiwi Araga outside of her involvement in Enormita. Kiwi hardly talked to anyone at school aside from Utena… and Utena had mentioned once that the only reason Kiwi went to their school was because she had requested a transfer to their class specifically to be closer to her. She was certainly dedicated to their villain life, that much was clear.

She was uninterested in schoolwork, but got decent enough grades to get by. No extracurricular activities, but that was the case for the magical girls as well. Who had time for clubs if you were busy fighting against evil? Or fighting against good, for that matter.

The only other thing Sayo knew about her was that she had a deep, almost instinctual dislike of Kaoruko—even before they’d learned each others’ secret identities.

It was hard to believe that this more-or-less normal girl sitting across from her was Leoparde, the one the Tres Magia used to consider the most dangerous and unpredictable member of the organization.

Well, to be fair, they still considered her to be that, whether they had a truce or not.

“Um… Kiwi-san… I was wondering…” she started.

There was no response, but she pressed on anyway.

“I was just curious, you see… How did you end up joining Enormita in the first place? Truth be told, I don’t know much about your team’s recruitment process… I never even imagined all of you on the villain side had normal identities, too, just like us…”

Kiwi shrugged, still staring at her phone. “I was bored. I wanted to kick your ass, I guess.”

“Oh, that’s…” Sayo blinked. “I’m sorry, what?”

Kiwi finally set her phone down on the table.

“You magical girls are super popular and everyone likes you,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I mean, the official Tres Magia account gets tons of shares and reactions for nothing! What gives?”

“Actually, Vatz handles most of our publicity, so I haven’t even looked at our social media that much…” Sayo admitted. “I find it a bit embarrassing, to be honest.”

“Utena’s constantly checking it and reposting stuff…”

Sayo couldn’t help but smile at that. “Really? She does?”

Kiwi groaned. “No matter what I post, I can’t even get half the reactions you guys do… And you’re not even posting anything good. Not even swimsuit pics or anything. I don’t see what the big deal is!”

“Being a magical girl isn’t about the fame and publicity… In fact, I find those parts rather tiresome…”

Kiwi collapsed on the table with another loud groan and picked up her phone again.

“I-I’m sure the photos you post on your own account are lovely, though!” Sayo added quickly. “Could I see them?”

“Huh? Sure, lemme pull some up…” Kiwi tapped over to her own account, scrolled through her photos for a bit, and finally found one that was to her liking. “This one’s probably the best, but these numbers should be way higher…”

She turned her phone screen so Sayo could see. It was a photo of Kiwi on her bed, wearing… Well, actually, the more important thing was what Kiwi was not wearing.

Sayo’s face went red, and she glanced around the cafe in a panic, covering up the screen with both hands before anyone else could see. “Y-You probably shouldn’t show me that in public! But… it did look… nice, from what I saw…”

“Heehee, if you like it, then there’s way more where that came from!” Kiwi was beaming with pride. “Maybe you magical girls could afford to show a bit more skin now and then.”

“Oh, uh… You and Utena help us more than enough with that, every time we fight,” Sayo said. “Vatz probably wouldn’t want us to post any photos like yours, though.”

The mere thought of it was mortifying. And yet Kiwi didn’t seem to have a single ounce of shame or self-consciousness about showing that side of herself to the world.

It must be… liberating.

Kiwi set her phone down, and leaned forward, resting her chin in her hand. “What about you? How does someone end up as a magical girl, anyway?”

Sayo smiled. She didn’t like to boast, but the memory was one she was proud of.

“Well… I was on my way home from school one day,” she said. “It seemed like a day like any other. All of a sudden, I heard a scream. It was a young girl being chased by those monsters… The dangerous kind, before Magia Baiser took over.”

“Yeah, these days we mostly just send ‘em after you.”

“Right…” Sayo muttered. “Anyways, this was back in the days when Magenta was still the town’s one and only magical girl. I was sure she’d show up any minute to fight those creatures off, but I didn’t see her anywhere. I knew there wasn’t much I could do on my own. I was just a regular person, after all. But I just had to keep that girl safe. No matter what happened to me…”

Kiwi gagged. “God, no wonder Utena’s obsessed with you guys!” she moaned. “Do you even realize how cool you sound? Are all of you like that?”

“W-Well… Yes, I suppose so. Vatz looks for girls who are strong, pure of heart, and selfless…”

“Ugh, lame,” Kiwi said. “I’m pretty sure Venalita just picks up random girls off the street most of the time, though.”

“That sounds a little… umm…” Sayo decided not to finish what she was going to say. “Anyways, everyone in Enormita is quite strong, too, so I’m sure there must be some carefully-considered criteria for you as well! Surely it’s not completely random…”

Kiwi shrugged, and looked back down at her phone. Sayo noticed she was scrolling through the Quattro Magia account this time.

“I just can’t figure you out,” Kiwi muttered. “Like, why are you even here with me if you know I’m evil?”

“I… don’t think you’re evil, Kiwi-san,” Sayo replied.

“Me and Utena literally tied you up, ripped your clothes off, and took turns spanking you while you begged for mercy.”

“You mean last weekend? I asked you to do that.”

“I meant all the times before!” Kiwi said. “You weren’t even mad when you found out Violet was Baiser…”

It was true, in a sense. Sayo remembered how terrified, how truly violated she had felt when she realized that Magia Baiser had learned their secret identities. But then, when she had later found out that Baiser was Utena, she’d felt…

The one emotion that stood out was relief. It had been a conflicting mix of emotions, but that was the one she remembered most.

That was the moment that had confirmed what she’d felt. Magia Baiser really was different from other villains. Because, no matter what costume she was wearing, she was always Utena.

“You only fight us, you don’t attack innocent people, and you’re not really trying to take over the world… In fact, it seems like the only thing you do want is to spend time with Utena,” Sayo said. “I think you like her much more than you ever hated us.”

Kiwi’s hands flew up, burying her face in her sleeves, although Sayo had already seen how red her face was. “Dammit… You goody-two-shoes magical girls are always saying shit like that…”

“Sorry…” Sayo said. “But… I do appreciate getting to know the real Enormita better. The way you and Utena get to be yourselves, do what you want… I’m a magical girl, and an honor student, and a shrine maiden… I could never…” She sighed. “I mean… it’s not that I don’t want to, but…”

Kiwi folded her arms, skeptical.

“I actually really admire how you and Utena are so open about that side of yourselves,” Sayo said. “Perhaps it’s because you’re villains… Or maybe you became villains precisely because of that… Not to say that it’s a bad thing, but… You get to be so much more free.”

Her eyes drifted down to Kiwi’s phone. Remembering that selfie Kiwi had so nonchalantly showed her. The one that showed everything.

Kiwi seemed to follow her gaze.

“Hmm… Ooh, I got it!” Kiwi said, her eyes flashing. “Wanna do a photoshoot together? I’ll put the photos up on my account! You know, you do owe me for all the attention-stealing you magical girls have been doing!”

“W-What? Kiwi-san, I think your account and the official Quattro Magia page have… very different audiences…”

But she couldn’t help but imagine herself… in Kiwi’s bedroom, tied up, vulnerable, on display, as Kiwi stood over her snapping photos from every angle…

“M-Maybe… You could take a few photos to send to Bais—that is, to Utena,” Sayo said. “B-But only for her, okay? Umm… Unless she orders me to share my humiliation and disgrace with the whole world…”

Kiwi grinned. It was the happiest she’d looked on the whole date. “Deal.”

As they went to the register to pay, Sayo’s hands were already trembling as she counted out her coins. The cashier was watching her. No, she was imagining that. There was no way anyone could know what they were planning to do next.

But it felt like everyone could read those lewd thoughts in Sayo’s head. Was it showing on her face? Was she blushing? She felt hot. She hurried and left the restaurant, stepping out into the fresh air.

“Alright! Ready to go to my place so I could take naked pictures of you and put ‘em on the Internet?” Kiwi said, her voice a bit too loud, as usual.

“Kiwi-san!” Sayo said, glancing around in a panic, but no one had heard them. “Th-that’s…! Um… I said we could send them to Utena, but…” She paused. “I suppose if we don’t show my face, w-we could put some on that account of yours… for everyone to see…”

“Woo! Alright!” Kiwi pumped her fist.

Sayo watched Kiwi start off down the street, skipping, twirling around with her arms outstretched. Clearly she was just excited by the direction their innocent little date had taken, but it was cute, all the same.

It seemed so unlikely that she would ever become friends with a girl like Kiwi Araga if it hadn’t been for their roles as heroine and villainess. Kiwi was her polar opposite—crass, rude, impulsive—but also a lot of fun, in her own way. There was just no telling what this girl would do next.

“Hey, can I see your gem thingy?” Kiwi said suddenly.

“Huh? Why?”

“I dunno, I just wanna see it,” Kiwi said, shrugging. “Your side gets to have all different color gems and stuff, right? Enormita’s all look the same.” She reached into her pocket and pulled out a four-pointed gold star, waggling it in front of Sayo’s face. “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours!”

“Um… Sure. I suppose that’s alright.”

Sayo reached into her purse to take out her own heart-shaped blue gem, from the secure yet easily-accessible pocket she always kept it stowed in.

They’d come a long way, hadn’t they? Here she was, willingly handing over her transformation gem to a member of Enormita. And yet Sayo didn’t feel worried at all. Utena—and Kiwi—were now some of the closest and dearest people in the world to her. She knew Kiwi would never—

“It works the same way, right?” Kiwi squinted at the gem, then raised it up above her head. “You just hold it up and say the words…”

“Yes. It’s odd, but it’s the same phrase as yours, I thi—”

“Trans Magia!”

Sayo was momentarily blinded by a flash of light as Kiwi transformed.

As the light cleared and her eyes readjusted, Sayo couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

Magia Azure was standing right in front of her.

Except it couldn’t be. It was just Kiwi wearing Sayo’s own costume… But inexplicably, her mind was telling her this was the real Magia Azure. The costume fit her perfectly. And somehow Sayo knew that it was more than just a change of clothes.

Kiwi looked down at her blue-gloved hands, already swirling some tiny snowflakes through her fingertips. “Whoa, this is pretty sweet!”

“Y-You… You just… We can do that?” Sayo stammered.

“Yeah, I guess so. I didn’t think it’d really work,” Kiwi said with a shrug. She looked down at the costume, with all its frills, the long-sleeved gloves, and high-legged boots. “Kinda stuffy, isn’t it? How do you even fight in this?”

She loosened her bow tie and undid a few buttons from her collar, far enough to expose a bit of cleavage. Definitely against the Quattro Magia dress code.

Sayo took a step forward. “H-Hang on, you shouldn’t just…”

Kiwi ignored her, already gathering more ice crystals, watching them solidify in her hands. “C’mon, let’s have some fun!”

Her weapon took shape in her hands. At first, Sayo thought it was one of her ice blades, but it was too short. The tip was rounded, not sharp. In fact, it was just big enough to—

Oh god.

Kiwi gave a dark, decidedly non-magical-girl-like grin, as she started to move towards Sayo, brandishing that… weapon. Sayo backed away in a panic, raising the transformation item she was still gripping tight in one hand.

“T-T-Trans Magia!” she said, almost out of instinct, forgetting it wasn’t her own gem she was holding.

When the light cleared, Sayo looked down at herself. She was wearing a dark green military uniform. Or the top half of one, at least. She could feel the breeze on her skin lower down, and was suddenly extremely aware of her lack of pants.

“Heehee, now we’re talkin’!” Kiwi said. “Your ass looks good in that.”

Sayo’s hands flew to her exposed backside. Of course. If anything, Leoparde’s battle outfit only made her an even easier target for that thing in Kiwi’s hands.

“Changed my mind. This is way more fun than a photoshoot,” Kiwi said. She took another step forward.

Sayo looked at her hand, focusing her magic to call forth her weapon, the same way she did with her ice blades. But instead, a snub-nosed revolver appeared in her hand. It felt heavy, and looked considerably more dangerous than the typical magical girl weapons she was used to. Was this a real gun?

Sayo shrieked. “Wait, what do I do with this? I c-can’t just… shoot you!”

“Not with that attitude,” Kiwi said. “C’mon, I’m a magical girl, I can take it! Try being bad for a change!”

Raising the gun blindly, Sayo’s finger squeezed around the trigger. It took more effort to pull than she expected, but when she did, there was an ear-shattering bang, and a smoking hole appeared in the wall of the building just past Kiwi’s left shoulder.

Kiwi had stopped moving, looking utterly dumbfounded.

“Ah! I-I’m sorry! That was really close…”

Then, in a very non-Azure-like fashion, Kiwi cackled. “Well, Leoparde… You are a bad girl after all, aren’t you? I think you need to be punished.”

The words sent a shiver down Sayo’s spine, as cold as the suggestively-shaped ice rod in Kiwi’s hands. Maybe… being a villain wouldn’t be so bad after all, at least for a little while…

“Um…” Sayo tried to muster up something close to a mocking tone. “H-How about… I kick your goody two-shoes a-ass, and take you back for Magia Baiser to play with? How does that sound?”

“That’s just what I wanted to hear.” Kiwi kicked off the ground and took off into the sky. “Come and get me, you dumb Enormita slut!”

Missing out on her weekend plans with Kiwi and Sayo was disappointing, but as Utena arrived at the library’s meet-and-greet event in full uniform as Magia Violet, she couldn’t help but feel a warmth in her heart.

Any true magical girl fan knew that it wasn’t all about fighting evil. Being a hero meant so much more. The Quattro Magia were role models, pillars of their community, demonstrating positive values, elegance and class for their adoring fans of all ages. That’s why they were always filming public service announcements, teaching safety lessons, and showing up for local events like this one.

“Thank you so much for coming, Magia Violet.” The librarian was a young woman, maybe in her twenties. “The kids are going to be so excited to meet you!”

“Oh, no, thank you for having me!” Violet bowed deeply. “I’m still kinda new at the whole magical girl thing… I’m really honored you’d ask me to come here!”

“I’m sure it must be tough, huh?” the librarian said. “I’ve heard magical girls are usually just regular students by day… Balancing your studies and your magical girl duties must be so difficult!”

“Yeah, it’s…” Violet smiled weakly. Magical girl duties, school work, and running the evil organization… “It’s more than you might realize.”

Fortunately, nobody knew that she was also Magia Baiser. And maybe just as importantly, they didn’t know that she was Utena Hiiragi, and what her grades were actually like. Or, for that matter, the kind of books she usually read. The ones hidden under her bed weren’t from the public library collection, that was for sure.

“The kids have been so excited to meet you! Everyone managed to meet their page goal, so a special appearance by our town’s newest magical girl was the big surprise!” the librarian said. “You've become very popular over the last few months.”

As they entered the brightly-colored children’s section of the public library, the faces of the girls immediately lit up as soon as they saw her. A few of them swarmed around her immediately.

“Magia Violet!”

“It’s her!”

“Her dress is so pretty!”

The sight of these kids nearly made her heart melt. The expressions on their faces… Utena remembered feeling the same way when she saw Magical Mimiru, back when she was that age. And now she was the hero to these kids…

Violet got down on one knee to talk to some of the girls.

“Hi there! What’s your name?”

“Saori!” the girl said cheerfully.

“Nice to meet you, Saori! You know, I was a big fan of magical girls when I was little, too. Do you have a favorite?”

“I like Fallen Medic!”

“Yeah, she’s really—” Violet blinked. “W-Wait, no, she’s from Enormita! Why do you like her?”

“She’s really cool and strong! She can even beat Sulfur!”

That was true. Magia Sulfur may be the toughest of the Quattro Magia, but if she had one weakness, it was definitely Haruka in that skimpy nurse outfit…

“But… um… what about Magia Magenta?” Violet said. “Don’t you think she’s much nicer and prettier than that nasty Fallen Medic?”

The little girl scrunched up her face, thinking, but before she could answer, an explosion went off somewhere in the distance.

Parents and children in the crowd all turned their heads at once, some of them leaping to their feet, deciding if it was time to flee or not. The sounds of chaos were surprisingly common in this town. But Utena couldn’t recall Enormita making any plans today…

And if it was an explosion, that usually meant Kiwi was involved.

“D-Don’t worry, everyone! I’ll keep you all safe!” Violet said, forcing herself to smile, even as she was internally screaming.

Kiwi and Sayo were supposed to be on a nice, normal date right now. It hadn’t even been that long! Surely things couldn’t have gone that poorly between them…

Already a dozen different scenarios were playing out in Violet’s head. There were actually a lot of ways things could have gone that poorly, now that she thought about it.

“Go get them, Violet!” one of the girls shouted.

“We believe in you!”

“Thanks, everyone!” Violet said, giving a wave back as she ran for the door. “Just stay calm! I’ll handle this.”

She burst out the front doors of the library, already scanning the skies for any danger. Today, for once, there wasn’t a scheduled time and place for their battle, so she genuinely didn’t know where to start looking…

Kicking off the front steps, she launched into the sky, high above the roof of the city library. She looked over towards the downtown area, in the direction of that cafe they had been talking about. As she got higher, she could see the flashes of gunfire and sparkling ice magic.

Of course.

Violet bolted forward, making a beeline for her two girlfriends. She could hear some of the kids and their parents cheering.

Just another battle between the heroes and villains today…

As she drew closer, she slowed down, surveying the battle. Leoparde, clutching a pistol white-knuckled in both hands, was blasting wildly at Magia Azure, who was clumsily summoning ice barriers that shattered the instant they were hit by a stray bullet.

What the heck were they doing?

“Gonna have to do better than that!” Azure called out.

“H-Hold still!” Leoparde shouted, the gun shaking in her hands. “I… I’m still not sure if I should really be trying to hit you or not!”

Something seemed off here. Leoparde was clearly struggling for some reason. Utena’s first thought was to fly in to give her some backup—but no, she was Violet right now. She had to be careful with all these people watching…

“D-Don’t worry, Azure, I’m here now!” Violet called out, flying in to take Azure’s side. She lowered her voice. “And, uh… what happened, anyway?”

“Heya, Violet! Ready to take this bitch down?” Azure said, flashing a wolfish grin. “Show her what happens when she fucks with the Quattro Magia, right?”

“A-Azure!?” Violet stammered. “W-What… did you say?” She glanced down, but they were too high up for any of the kids to have heard the language.

Azure summoned an ice saber with a spinning flourish. She lowered her voice to a near-whisper. “Heehee, surprised? It’s me, Kiwi! Me and Sayo swapped our transforming thingies for the day.”

Violet blinked. Her vision corrected itself. It was Kiwi. Somehow she hadn’t noticed that at all. Recognition Inhibition could be scary sometimes…

Her eyes drifted down.

Kiwi. In Magia Azure’s uniform.

She wore it loose, messy, like she did with her school uniform. Her ribbon was tied sloppily and the first few buttons of her blouse were undone, exposing a bit more cleavage than usual. The real Azure would never be so careless with her appearance. But on Kiwi, it was kind of… hot.

“You… swapped? You can do that…?” Violet said, still staring dumbly at Kiwi's chest.

“You said we should get to know each other better,” Kiwi said, with a shrug.

Violet forced herself to tear her eyes away from Kiwi’s figure in that uniform, but all of the important details had already been burned into her memory. “Right. I did, didn’t I?”

“Man, her powers are awesome!” Kiwi said. “How about you tie her up with your lasso thing, then when we’ve got her, I’ll shove an icicle right up her—”

“Leo—Ki—uh, I mean, Azure! We’re Quattro Magia, we can’t do that!” Violet said. “I mean… maybe later, we could, just not in public… But for now, we’ve gotta do this like magical girls, alright?”

“Fine,” Kiwi said, rolling her eyes. “Maybe just the tying-her-up part. She did kinda seem like she wanted to lose.”

“Yeah, um…” Violet looked back down at the crowds below. She recognized all of the kids from the library who had come to watch. “I think a magical girl victory would be best today.”

She turned back to their opponent. The effects of Recognition Inhibition had now worn off for her as well, and now Violet could tell who she was actually looking at.

Leoparde—well, actually Sayo—stared the two of them down, awkwardly gripping a revolver in both hands. The uniform was the same, apparently even magically resized to fit her taller frame. But somehow when it was on her, Violet was more aware of just how short the military-green coat was, and just how little those tight black panties actually covered…

Sayo was doing her best to play the part, but she really had no villainous instincts at all. She was holding her body too stiff, pressing her knees close together, clearly embarrassed by how skimpy this outfit was…

It was the cutest thing Utena had ever seen.

“Give it up, Leoparde!” Violet said, slipping into character. “You can’t win this.”

The line between mocking villainess and righteous hero were very delicate, but she’d been playing both roles long enough now to keep her performances straight. Of course, it was a bit confusing to be looking at Sayo while she delivered this kind of line. She had to be extra careful not to let any of the dirty thoughts she was having slip out.

“Um… Th-That’s what you think, Quattro Magia!” Sayo said. She glanced down at the gun in her hands. “I’m going to, uh… do… something!”

Her Leoparde performance left plenty to be desired. It was hard to watch, to be honest.

“Hold her off, Azure!” Violet said. “I, uh… I’d better go make sure Enormita’s not planning a sneak attack!”

“Oh, sure… Oh!” Kiwi’s eyes widened as she picked up on the hint. “Yeah, make sure Magia Baiser’s not waiting for us!”

Violet flew off, around the corner of a building and out of sight. Kiwi, as Azure, turned her sights back to Sayo, as Leoparde.

“Think you can hold out ‘til your boss gets back?” Kiwi said, readying another barrage of icicles in the air above her head.

“My… boss?” Sayo said. She nearly forgot to dodge out of the way, and an icicle ripped a gash through the side of her coat, exposing her bare skin. Leoparde’s outfit didn’t include any more layers underneath.

Sayo reached for a weapon for a counterattack. Something, anything—but all that appeared in her hand was a grenade. She frowned. Leoparde’s powers really had no sense of subtlely… Then again, with the power of a magical girl, Kiwi probably wouldn’t be hurt too bad.

She pulled the pin. “T-Take this, you…” Sayo’s voice trailed off, unsure of the proper insult for a villainess to call a magical girl in this situation. Every name that came to mind felt too embarrassing to say out loud. She gave up, and simply tossed the grenade.

“Wait, whoa, how long did you cook that—” Kiwi didn’t have time to finish the sentence before the bomb went off, the blast sending her spinning through the air into a nearby park, leaving a trail of smoke arcing through the air behind her.

Sayo smiled. It felt… good. Fun. Satisfying.

Azure’s dress—well, Kiwi’s—was torn and singed, and she was draped over the branch of a tree like laundry hung out to dry.

“Dammit, you really…” Before Kiwi could finish, a branch curled around her wrist.

She stared at it, puzzled.

And then the entire tree came alive, grabbing her ankles, her arms, spreading her apart and leaving her helpless in midair. Kiwi kicked and thrashed, but there was no escape.

Out of the shadows, from behind the other trees in the neighborhood park, Baiser silently glided into view, admiring the sight of her struggling.

“Well done, Leoparde,” she said, drifting past their victim to Sayo’s side. “You managed to knock her right into our trap.”

“Wh-What?” Sayo said. The sight of Magia Baiser in all her glory had caught her off-guard. For once, not as an enemy, but as her partner. No, her superior. Her… mistress.

Kiwi—Azure—was still fighting against the tree branches. Her ice wand had fallen from her grasp and she was utterly defenseless.

Baiser laughed softly as Kiwi struggled in vain against her bonds. She floated closer, face-to-face with her victim, and ran a hand softly down Kiwi’s cheek. “You know you’re my favorite plaything, don’t you, Azure?”

“H-Huh?” Kiwi managed to stammer out. “I am?”

“You’re so beautiful when you’re fighting like this…” Baiser said. She looked over at Sayo. “Don’t you want a turn with her, Leoparde?”

“I… Um… Is that okay?”

Baiser gave a cruel laugh as she flew back to Sayo’s side. “We’re Enormita. This is what we do.” Her hand traveled down to stroke Sayo’s nearly-bare ass.

“Baiser… sama?” Sayo stammered. The feeling of Baiser’s fingertips on her was causing her mind to short-circuit. Maybe that’s why Leoparde’s outfit didn’t include pants… “Oh… R-Right! I guess we… play with her now, don’t we? Should I…?”

“I think I’ll let you do the honors today, Leo-chan.” Baiser grinned, baring her teeth. “I’d be careful, though. If Violet shows up again… She won’t be too happy with what you’ve done to her partner, will she?”

“No, I guess not…” Sayo murmured.

“If she catches you… I’m sure she’ll pay you back for everything you do to Azure,” Baiser said. “Every… single… thing.”

Sayo stiffened. “Right…”

She flew over to Kiwi. Her magical girl uniform was singed and torn from the grenade blast. So many rips, leaving so many places for Sayo to slip her hands in… Finding the bare skin underneath, she grew bolder, starting to stroke and squeeze. Kiwi could barely muster up the effort to resist.

“Keep her busy, Leoparde,” Baiser said. “I’ll go see if I can find Violet...”

She flew off, leaving Leoparde free to torment Azure.

“N-No… Stop…” Kiwi’s protests were weak, half-hearted. Sayo ignored them.

She was Enormita now. She was Leoparde, and she served Magia Baiser directly. Baiser would never show mercy to a magical girl, and neither would she.

Besides, Kiwi knew their safe word, and she hadn’t said it yet.

This sense of control, of freedom. This was how it must feel for them every time… Looking down at Kiwi’s dazed expression, her eyes rolled back, gasping for breath. Part of Sayo did envy her, but it was fun to be on this side of things for once.

She placed a hand on Kiwi’s chin, angling it up to make eye contact with her.

“It’s like Baiser-sama said… You’re beautiful like this…”

“What are you—mmph!” Kiwi’s pleas were cut off as Sayo kissed her on the lips. “MMPH!”

She went limp as Sayo’s tongue started to explore her mouth, the last bit of resistance fading away against the unexpected intrusion. She continued her pitiful whimpering, but Sayo could feel her responding, accepting, until they finally broke apart.

“Holy shit,” Kiwi muttered. “You’re good.”

Sayo smiled. “Thanks. Just something Baiser-sama showed me…”

With Kiwi’s defenses utterly destroyed, Sayo was free to slip her hands under her shirt, exploring her body, enjoying every curve and soft bit of flesh. Even better was the knowledge that, once Violet caught her, she’d be punished for all of this evildoing accordingly.

Kiwi’s eyes were rolled back, and those moans she was making were driving Sayo wild.

Then something grabbed her wrist, pulling her hand away from Kiwi’s breasts. Sayo barely had time to register the magical ropes coiling around her - Violet’s signature weapon, the Violet Lash, her enchanted whip for binding and capturing evil.

The lasso tightened and yanked her back, away from Kiwi, spinning her around to face her captor. Violet gripped the rope in both hands, her eyes blazing with righteous justice. She was breathtaking. Utena played the part of a hero perfectly…

“Looks like you need to be taught a lesson, Leoparde!” Violet said.

Sayo couldn’t move. The lasso only seemed to tighten the harder she struggled… It was the first time she’d ever been on the receiving end of Violet’s weapon, but something about this did feel comfortably familiar.

Kiwi finally pulled herself free from the grip of the tree monster, Baiser’s magic conveniently weakening just in time. She flew over to Violet’s side, eyes sparkling with admiration.

“Ready to punish this villain, Azure?” Violet said.

“Heehee! Let’s do it, Violet-chan!” Kiwi giggled, ice crystals swirling around her hands as she readied her magic.

And Sayo did her best to look humiliated and terrified as they began.

People were starting to cheer. Of course. This was the part of the battle where the magical girls broke free, came back stronger, and punished the evil villains… They were all going to watch as Sayo was defeated.

Incredible…

Dark clouds swirled in the air above Nacht Base. It was another peaceful day at the secret lair of the evil organization Enormita.

Korisu was asleep in her chair, her dollhouse figures scattered on the table in front of her, worn out after a long play session. Next to her, Haruka was scrolling through her phone, checking the latest fan comments on the official Quattro Magia account.

The double doors at the far side of the room, and Sayo entered, glancing around the meeting hall. “Oh, hello, Haruka. Have you seen Utena? She said she wanted to talk about next weekend…”

“Hmm… Not today,” Haruka said. “But look at this! Magia Azure is trending right now.” She held up her phone. “Looks like some people got some good photos of you during yesterday’s battle! Did you see?”

Sayo glanced over at the photo, and her face immediately went red. “Oh, uh… Those ones aren’t me.”

“Huh? What do you mean?” Haruka squinted, studying the photo. “And these comments are a little… ‘I don’t know what was different about Azure yesterday, but she could punch me in the face and I’d thank her for it’... W-What!?”

Azure covered her face with one hand. “Th-That’s why I usually don’t look at our social media… It’s embarrassing…”

Kiwi burst in, waving her phone in the air. The screen showed the same photos Haruka had been looking at. “Check it out! People friggin’ love me! Hey, Sayo, can I borrow your gem again sometime?”

“I-I think we need to have a serious discussion about the Quattro Magia’s public optics!” Vatz said, following after her.

“Uh…” Haruka was still staring at the photo of Magia Azure. “What happened yesterday, anyway? I thought you were supposed to be on a date.”

Sayo pulled out the chair next to her, wincing a bit as she sat down. Her punishment the day before had been severe, and she was still feeling it. But she smiled. “I think… We made the right decision teaming up with Enormita after all, didn’t we?”
