Work Text:
Hitoshi isn't a fan of waking up early but today is moving day and that means he is up and ready by seven. He drags his feet as he opens the front door of the general education dorm. Kaminari, Midoriya, Todoroki, Sero and Ojiro greet him, some with more enthusiasm than others.
Hitoshi hadn't had a chance to decline both Kaminari's and Midoriya's insistence to help him move.
It takes them one trip to get all of Hitoshi's belongings into the class A dorm. Kaminari and Midoriya chatter animatedly about anything and everything while Hitoshi appreciates the quiet of the other companions.
He still drags his feet as they arrive at the back of his floor in front of his new room.
"Oh, you got the room next to Kacchan," Midoriya exclaims, a bright smile sitting on his lips.
Hitoshi only hums in acknowledgement. He already knows.
"This is so great, we can have Bakusquad hangouts!" Kaminari chimes in, almost dropping his box in excitement. Hitoshi merely shakes his head. He's not looking to join any groups but he's also sure he doesn't get a chance to decline this one either.
"As if Bakugou lets us hang out in his room. Happens once in a lifetime maybe." Sero takes the excitement of Kaminari and sniffs it out rather bluntly. Hitoshi almost snorts at the exchange.
"Oi!"
The door next to his opens and an angry looking Bakugou emerges.
"Can you extras be quiet already?!"
Oh Hitoshi can't wait to share a wall with their resident angry boy. He's feeling a little more excited now.
"Sorry Kacchan, we're done now, since many of us helped," Midoriya folds his hands in apology before ushering the others along; not of course without Kaminari turning back to Hitoshi to shout: "We'll be celebrating your move in the common room this evening!"
Which is not exactly something Hitoshi looks forward to. He leans in his doorway, sending the group a dissatisfied expression and gets a bunch of waving hands in return.
"Finally some peace and quiet," Bakugou mutters before slamming his door shut.
Hitoshi groans and leaves for his own room and the daunting task of unpacking all of his boxes.
Hitoshi is surprised to find everyone of class A in the common room that evening. Even Bakugou occupies a corner, keeping to himself.
Kaminari holds a grand speech, opening the festivities with lots of sodas and finger food.
Hitoshi immediately keeps to a corner, dodging the outgoing and loud classmates or friends as Kaminari would claim. He watches in amusement as some of their usual troublemakers start initiating embarrassing games. Hitoshi manages to stay out of them until Ashido practically drags him to play truth-or-dare.
The game starts easy and turns personal real quick. Hitoshi is dared to eat extra spicy wings, which he almost sheds a tear after. He has to reveal the truth about his hero motive and the fact he's not single anymore. Everyone goes absolutely crazy with the news and Hitoshi decides to take his leave.
The kitchen is less crowded and more quiet. Hitoshi appreciates the silence until the door creaks open and he almost sighs until he sees who it is.
"This is my hiding spot, go look for your own one," Hitoshi exclaims, a smirk pulling on his lips.
Bakugou sniffs in superiority.
"Fuck off, if I wanted to hide I'd go to my room. I'm hungry."
Bakugou pushes past Hitoshi to get to the fridge and takes out a container of fried rice. He reheats it in the microwave.
"What, aren't the snacks enough for you?"
Bakugou sends him his nastiest stink-eye.
"Absolutely not, I need real food."
Hitoshi snorts at the answer. Bakugou levels him with a dissatisfied growl before taking his food and slamming a spoon in it.
"You really are over the top in everything you do," Hitoshi mutters, shaking his head.
"Tch. Of course I do." He sends Hitoshi a smirk before eating some fried rice.
"Unbelievable," Hitoshi comments.
They stay in silence, Bakugou eating his leftovers while Hitoshi leans against the counter and enjoys the quiet.
After a moment, Bakugou holds out the rest of his fried rice.
"Here, have the rest, I'm full."
Hitoshi takes the food without question, only raises his brow at Bakugou but the other is already halfway through the door.
"I'll be hiding away in my room now," Bakugou says over his shoulder and leaves.
Hitoshi shakes his head, stuffs the leftover leftovers in his mouth and follows Bakugou.
He stops in front of his dorm room and grins when he spots the door ajar.
"You really didn't take long, did you even chew your food?" Bakugou greets as Hitoshi closes the door behind himself.
"Don't be such a mother hen, Kats. Also what was that down there?"
Hitoshi slams onto the bed and rolls over to blink at Katsuki.
"I don't know what you mean, I was merely saying I'm off for the night. What you do with that information is up to you," he responds, smirking down at Hitoshi.
"Boo, you wanted me to follow you up here," Hitoshi whines and Katsuki's smirk grows as he leans forward, bumping their noses.
"Well I haven't congratulated my boyfriend on moving into his new dorm yet."
Katsuki bridges the small gap between them and Hitoshi sighs into the kiss.
Moving in next to their resident angry boy is the best thing that could have happened to Hitoshi.
