Flawless and Fractured have a date at Waffle House.

Notes:

My first ever fic. It's very short and probably not great, but I hope you all enjoy :3

Work Text:

As Flawless and Fractured take their seats at the booth, Fractured immediately begins to shiver. “It’s always so damn cold in Waffle House.” She murmured while pulling her clothes tighter for warmth. “You chose the restaurant, not me.” Flawless replied, rolling her eyes.

The two mares grab the menus and ponder them for a few moments. Right as they set their menus up, the waitress walks up to them. “Hello girls are y’all ready to order?” The waitress asks gleefully. “Burger with fries for me, and a coffee.” Fractured replies. “FRUIT PUNCH AND WAFFLE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS!!!” Flawless blurts out, mouth agape and drooling.

As the waitress walks away Fractured unsuccessfully attempts to hold in a chuckle. “Quite passionate for someone who whined when we didn’t go to Denny’s. You’re more of a fatass than I thought.”

“It takes a lot of calories to maintain a body as perfect as mine” Flawless retorts, huffing angrily. “Like you would know anything about self care.” Fractured replied, pointing her hoof at Flawless’ unkempt armpit hairs. Flawless simply huffs again and crosses her arms, trying to look as pouty as she can.

After a long awkward silence, the waitress returns with the drinks. “Here you are girls, we’ll have your food ready in a minute m’kay?” She says as she sets down the drinks. The two mares do not respond. They continue to scowl at each other as the waitress walks away confused. Eventually, Fractured sighs and picks up her coffee, taking a sip. “I didn’t bring us here just to fight you know.”

Flawless drops the angry expression on her face, turning it into one of confusion. “Then what did you bring us here for?”

Fractured sighs. “I miss you Flawless…” She reaches out to Flawless, attempting to grab her hoof. “DONT TOUCH ME YOU DYKE” Flawless snapped, filling her voice with as much malice as she could. ”You just want back the power you had when we were together!”

“I’m being serious Flawless. It’s not easy for me to say this.” Fractured said.

As the two sit in awkward silence, the waitress returns again. “Here’s y’all’s food, enjoy ladies.” The waitress sets down the food and walks away.

The two mares just sit there and stare at their food. Eventually, Fractured speaks up.

“Don’t you miss… when we were one? When we were whole?” Fractured asked, her voice trembling and breaking with every word. “We used to be one in the same, but now we’re so different… I miss being a part of you Flawless…”

As tears welled up in Fractured’s eyes, Flawless reached out her hoof and grabbed Fractured’s. “Hey… we may be different now, but is that really such a bad thing?” She asked with a warm smile. “Together we were perfect, devoid of the slightest flaw, now look at us…” Fractured replied, tilting her head down. “We look like a couple of damn sexy bitches to me.” Flawless said, pulling Fractured’s head up with her hoof.

As Fractured stared into Flawless’ eyes and smile, all of her worries and fears instantly seemed to subside. The shadow of doubt in her mind was completely outshined by the radiance of flawless beauty. “What are- what are you saying?” Fractured manages to mutter out.

“What I’m saying is, we don’t have to be one to be together, to be flawless.” Flawless answered, pushing herself closer to Fractured. Fractured felt heat rising to her cheeks as Flawless pressed against her, getting closer and closer by the second. Her eyes wandered down to Flawless’ thighs, heat rushing to her cheeks as she imagined herself between them. “Stop staring at me you stupid lesbo and pass me the syrup,” Flawless said, pushing herself away as she tried to hide her embarrassment.

Fractured smiled and passed her the syrup, and they began to eat. After a few minutes of eating in silence, Flawless spoke up. “Maybe, we can still be together, in a different way?”

“How so?” Fractured asked. As soon as those words left her mouth, Flawless pulled her in, and she kissed her. “We don’t have to be in the same body to be each other's other half you know?” Flawless replied.

“Flawless… I…” Fractured began to mumble out. Flawless put her hoof to her mouth and stopped her. “I know, I love you too. Now let’s eat, the food is getting cold.” Flawless said.

As the two mares ate, they realized, love isn’t always flawless.
