Chapter Text
Parrot was comfortably sitting on a beanbag, peacefully reading a book on the corner of him and his fellow bird friend’s potion shop, waiting for the other to come back from getting resources to make more potions. While he was waiting for Theo to come back, a knock from the front door was heard.
That must be Theo, he thought. But, why's the other one back so soon? There's something that's nagging him to not open the door. But Parrot’s quite stubborn and chose to ignore that feeling.
He stood up, closed the book and tossed it on the beanbag as he made his way to the door. He gently opens the door and sees a girl holding a basket full of sweets. She stared at Parrot for a moment and smiled, she then grabbed something from her basket. Parrot’s expression softened and his mind calmed down, reassuring himself that it's just a normal player.
“Uhm, greetings sir! Could you please try my baked goods? I really tried my best on this.” The girl said shyly, she waited for the avian to respond. The cupcakes seemed appetizing, so Parrot agreed to try it. Her eyes lit up, a small grin forming in her face.
"Thank you! Here you go sir!" She held out the cupcake and Parrot took it from her hands and quietly thanked her. He took a bite, tasting the sweetness, the cupcake had a soft texture and it was delicious.
“This tastes amazing, thank you..uh—”
“Alice, you can call me Alice. Oh and uhm, I have to go! See you soon mister!”
Alice says urgently, but before Parrot could say anything else, Alice is already gone.
Parrot stood there for a moment, slowly processing what just happened. He shook his head as he closed the door. Alice must in a….hurry, probably, he thought. Maybe he should've trusted his instincts and waited for Theo? But Alice didn't do anything wrong, right?
Parrot slapped himself internally and made his way upstairs. And all of a sudden, his head started hurting, his vision swirling. What is happening to me? Why does my — Parrot finally came to a realization that there's something wrong in that thing he just ate. How could he be so careless? Gosh, he should've trusted his guts.
Parrot gripped the wall for support as he carefully made his way near his bed, his body was getting weak. He'll pass out soon, stay awake. He thought, but it wss too difficult to do so. He couldn't fight back against the dizziness and against his own body, and with that. Parrot finally fell into unconsciousness.
A loud thud echoed through the room, and Parrot's limp body lay motionless against the cold, hard floor, a silence following the sudden impact.

Theo’s back from his little adventure.
He opened the door of the potion shop and walked inside, something felt off. It was too quiet, well.. it's always quiet, but not this kind of quiet! A small frown was visible from his face and a thought crossed his mind, Parrot. Where's the other bird? He should be guarding the shop or be here somewhere!
He sighed and tossed the bag full of materials near the counter, he then looked around the first floor.. he checked every corner but there's no sign of the other avian. He's getting worried now, he should be here somewhere, Parrot even said it himself before Theo went out.
Theo snapped out of his thoughts and made his way upstairs, his legs quickly taking him up. He looked around just to see.. an unconscious child laying on the hard floor.
His eyes widen at the sight, he's worried and confused. Why is a child in here?? And where is his friend?? He walked towards the kid, he noticed the wings on his back.. his feathers. The colors and everything looks so similar to Parrot's! And his hair too, brown messy curly hair. Same as Parrot…don't tell him that this child is Parrot. How can this even happen? He sighed and poked the child’s feathers, waiting for him to wake up.

Parrot woke up from the touch, his head pounding and his vision slightly blurry. He lifted his head up just to see a man looking at him, and poking his wings. That was enough to scare him, he attempted to shove the man away. The guy backed away, not wanting to scare him even more. Parrot then noticed something, light yellow and gray feathers, sun glasses, and a dramatic styled hair. ‘Theo? No, no this isn't him, this guy looks older.’ He thought.
He started at him for a few momentss before muttering something. The guy seemed incredibly worried and kept asking questions. Parrot got tired of the questions and shushed him. He sat up and looked around. His mind swirling, ‘This isn't the jungle. Where's my brothers? And where's Wifies?’ He thought, panic slowly creeped in. His wings twitched, his hand starting to trembls slightly.

Theo noticed the avian’s distress and tried to calm him down, but the avian just kept on spiraling. Theo had to shake the other out of it, but not too much to actually hurt Parrot, he snapped out of it and stared at the cockatiel hybrid. He took deep breathes to calm himself down.
“Uhm, hey..? I'm sorry but who are you? Where are my brothers? Why am I not in the jungle? And wheres—" But before he can finish speaking, the other avian interrupted him.
“Woah buddy, calm down with the questions! And my name's Theo.. you're Parrot, right?"
“Yes..how—wait.. THEO?! why do you look so…old?” Parrot asked, his voice full of confusion and slight worry
Theo gasps dramatically and puts his hand on his chest, feigning offense. He looked at him and spoke in the most dramatic tone ever
“Old?! Hey, I'm not that old. And you just.. I don't even know. I just came back from gathering resources, and I'm pretty sure that you somehow turned into a child?” Theo says, his voice filled with confusion and worry as he stares at the other, waiting for him to respond.
"Oh.” Parrot mumbled outside, his expression seemed blank and unreadable. But inside? Panic slowly was creeping in and he started drowning in his own mind. How did he even—
Theo lightly shook Parrot, but not enough to make him feel dizzy or worse. He looked at the now younger avian with concern, his head slightly tilted.
“Parrot, buddy. You okay?” the cockatiel hybrid asked, eyes looking at Parrot directly.
That snapped the Parrot hybrid of our of his thoughts and slightly nodded. He let a breath out, still processing things.
" Well uhm, wifies? My brothers..? Where are they?”. Parrot asked.
“Oh uhm, well.. your brothers are okay. I think, and about Wifies…I'm actually not sure.” Theo replied.
Wifies. Parrot barely talked about him, he always changes the topic or just completely backs out when the topic is about him. Theo didn't want to push Parrot into telling him what actually happened. All he knows is that Wifies is dead, that's all.
Theo didn't know how to tell this younger version of Parrot that his best friend is dead. Well— he can't just say “Oh your best friend is dead.”!! That will probably make things more complicated, and he doesn't want that. He knew that the two were VERY close, Wifies was Parrot’s first and best friend so he can't just —
“Hey..? Uhm, what do you mean you're not sure?” The younger avian asked, curious eyes meeting concern.
“It's nothing for you to worry about. How about...we go on a little adventure? Find your brothers and all, haha!”
"Hmn, okay…"
Weird. Why did Theo sudden acted strange?
Oh well, he'll just deal with that later. He really wants to see his brothers, after all.

The two avians left their shop to search for Parrot's brothers.
Theo was holding his hand tightly — but not tight enough
to hurt. They went to the parrot hybrid’s third oldest brother first.
