“No.” Telamon told 1x sternly.
“Your movements are too sloppy. Repeat!”
1x huffed. They have been training since this morning and doesn’t expect a break happening anytime soon.
‘’You don’t need to be so harsh on the kid, Tela.” Right. Doombringer’s been with them too.
”Well, if they keep up with this behavior then why not show a bit of discipline?”
”That ‘bit of discipline’ is draining them Telamon. Mentally and physically.”
1x stood silent. Maybe Telamon would agree with Doombringer? It is getting a bit tiring, after all.
“..Fine. Don’t expect me to be less harsh next testing, though.” Telamon scoffed.
”Glad to hear. Now let’s get you back to HQ, 1x. You deserve a nap.”
”Well- uhm.. Thank you?”
An hour later, 1x is called to Telamon’s office.
”Sir? Any reason for me to be here?” 1x asked. Usually, Telamon would be the one approaching 1x whenever he needed something.
Telamon snuck up to 1x. “It’s nothing too serious.. Just a question.”
”Gah-! A-Ask away, sir. I apologize for the stuttering- you frightened me a bit..”
Telamon giggled. He then proceeded to ask 1x his question.
”Why do you act like a failure? Surely it has to be on purpose..”
”Excuse me, sir?”
”Do not play dumb, 1x1x1x1. It’s just that.. You’ve been disappointing me. Considering this morning..”
1x reminisces on that morning, on how their posture was ‘wrong’ or what else Telamon said. Really, what was the point of this? 1x just wanted to go to their room.
”I apologize sir, but I was exhausted from answering your emails since you were busy. I assure you it won’t happen again-“
”That is not the answer I was expecting, 1x. You should know that excuses aren’t apologies. I want you to prove it.” Telamon unsheathed his Illumina, pointing it was 1x’s Linked Sword.
