About 99% of vigilantes are anodynes, with their biologically ingrained intention to protect and to guard, their natural inclination to be the saviors and defenders of their cities.
They had assumed Jason was an anodyne, just like everyone else in the family. But after their battle over Joker, Bruce finds out the truth. Quite the opposite—Jason is the other 1%, a barely unheard of group of dysodyne vigilantes. He’s just gotten too good at hiding.
With that knowledge, it becomes clear what Bruce must do to bring Jason back to him.
