Logically, Kon knew that there was nothing different, and he had the sneaking suspicion that he wouldn’t have reacted the same had it been someone else with that guy and not Tim. He just felt so... weird, about the whole thing. It felt wrong seeing Tim like this with another guy. The only conclusion he could draw was that, obviously, this was because of Tim’s sexuality.
