Tommy opened his eyes slowly. There was sun streaming through the window, leaving the ceiling bathed in golden light. The sheets under him were soft and plush, cradling his body comfortably. The one window in the room was slightly open, allowing Tommy to hear birds chirping outside as well as the quiet breeze blowing through the overgrown trees surrounding what Tommy could now tell was his childhood bedroom at his family cottage.
Fuck. His. Life.
He was back again.

“Can you help me?”
The rain patters on Tommy’s hair, his shoulders, the ground. It touches the man but doesn’t seem to sink in. His clothes look no more than damp when they should be soaking. Tommy should know; his shirt is plastered to him. He wouldn’t be surprised if it was see-through.
Tommy blinks. The man asked him a question. He nods again, not quite trusting his voice. The man seems nice, so Tommy takes a step forward.
The man smiles. It… something is wrong, but Tommy can’t put his finger on it. “Thank you. I’m looking for someone.” The man tilts his head, and something gleams in his brown eyes. With the motion, a strand of wavy hair falls forward, but it all seems so perfect. The man is perfect.

Tommy's family is shit.
They see him as a form of entertainment, a fun little human boy they can coddle and display. They throw him away once they've gotten bored of him, neglecting him for the next 2 years. He's sick and tired of their awfulness.
So he runs.
He runs into the forbidden forest, where he meets a fae named Dream. A fae, who was originally hellbent on kidnapping him to become his eternal servant. Instantly, he gets way too attached to the kid; who in turn needs a way to escape the clutches of his abusive family."So whadaya say about becoming a fae with me?"
Thus making: a consentual kidnapping. That's not how faerie kidnapping is supposed to work.

Wilbur’s eyes went wide. Inside, there was a little baby human. Wilbur didn’t know ages very well—he didn’t even know his own—but the baby couldn’t be older than 2. Most likely even younger.
The thing was bundled tight in blankets. He had blond hair just like his father. Wilbur blinked curiously at it.
A thought hit him.
What was something fae often took?
A human’s firstborn!
Wilbur grinned. Perfect!
See? Wilbur knows how to be a fae. He doesn’t need anybody to teach him.
Or, Wilbur is a lonely fae who stumbles upon Phil and his baby. Wilbur decides Phil has trespassed so he gets to take something of value. Free brother!!!
