Fives’ heartbeat hammered in his ears as he stood in the sterile medical bay, every instinct screaming that something was wrong. Palpatine had just dismissed the guards, and now they were alone. Fives knew that whatever happened next would decide the fate of the galaxy.
Or what happened when Palpatine dismissed everyone when he was talking to Fives? And in which I changed the ending result.

I might write a scene loosely canon-compliant at some point, but I doubt it. Each chapter will be free-standing unless noted otherwise.
