Summary
Obi-Wan Kenobi had sent a message hoping to get aid for Melida/Daan. He expected the disappointed face of Master Jinn to step off the Jedi cruiser to retrieve him. He hadn't been expecting Jedi Master Plo Koon, newest seated member of the Jedi High Council.
Plo Koon had often been told he missed his calling as a crechemaster, but he knew that the Force was pulling him into the wider universe. The day the Council received a comm from Melida/Daan, he felt like the Force was SCREAMING for him to go, and he would never think to ignore the Force.
Or: Plo Koon is actually secretly Mandalorian and adopts everyone he can. And gets Obi-Wan therapy Sithdamnit.

AU where Plo Koon gets Obi from Melida/Daan, takes one look at this scrawny traumatized ten and is like, this is MY son now Qui-Gon, you should get gone. It will retell the prequel trilogy in a some people live/not everyone dies timeline. included are Boga the miniature service varactyl, Kyber the trained obi-wan light saber finding massiff (much later) and lots of therapy for obi-wan. -

When Helix had first found out about Melidaan, a lot of his General's habits slotted neatly into place. Like a broken bone that healed wrong, he'd called it. All he could do was try and mitigate the damage.
(And if he'd wished, sometimes, that he could have been there earlier, so he could have done something, so he could have helped, well-)
Now, there is a child in his medbay, looking up at him with wary eyes. Carefully, gently, he crouches, so as not to loom. Offers him a smile.

Read parts 1-4 of this series, Feb 2026. It’s heavy and I set it aside for a time, but I do want to see what’s next.
Spoilers / summary of the series so far
- Obi-Wan has “internalized the Force”; in desperate times, he has extreme Force ability that shows up as lightning under his skin
- Dooku stabbed him through the chest, but he was resurrected via the Force. Survived 2 months of medicalized torture as Dooku tried to figure out how
- Cerasi lives. Anakin’s sins revealed and he’s working on it. Dooku in captivity. Clones are ( mostly) de-chipped. CodyWan pairing, but Obi-Wan is to self-sacrificing to let it happens
- at the end of part 4, Obi-Wan confronted Sideous, who has figured out the lightning thing. -

Summary
Din, and his aliit by extension, have been transported almost 60 years into the past. After ghosting this strange group of Mandalorians, doing some good deeds while adopting one Obi-Wan Kenobi from Melidaan, and having Grogu returned to him from the Jedi, Din realizes these Mandalorians want him to join them. He has no idea why, but what the hell. Boba says they're reliable and honourable, and it's not like they have anywhere else to go.
If only their Alor would stop staring at him all the time.
TLDR : A loose continuation of Cloud_Chaser's Oya Manda'lor (Posted w/ permission, doesn't need to be read). Din and family joins the True Mandalorians. Jaster has a big fat crush. Din does not know how to romance.
