Summary
They attack the HYDRA safe house shortly before sunrise.
The only people defending said safe house are Peter and Leo, and Leo slams his cell door open and starts spitting out orders, but then promptly gets clobbered over the head and keels sideways.
So that just leaves Peter. And he’s not even going to try to fight a whole team of Avengers. He looks up at Iron Man filling the doorway. “I surrender.”
He has never been captured before and he’s not sure what to do. Escape, probably.Series

Summary
Steve looked up, expecting to see his friend’s exhausted face, but instead found him positively grinning with a small paper lunch sack in his hand.
“You seem awfully happy,” said Steve in lieu of a greeting.
Natasha and Bucky chose that moment to enter the common room as well, wearing sweaty gym clothes and with messed-up hair. “Hey Sam,” said Natasha. “How terrible was the kid?”
“I take everything back I ever said.” Sam unrolled the top of the lunch sack and showed them its contents. “He brought cookies! You’ve gotta try one, they’re literally the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life.”
Aka, the fic in which Peter volunteers at the VA with Sam, who ends up practically adopting him and tells the whole team, making them all want to meet the fabled kid. Turns out, he might be a lot more familiar than they thought.

Summary
Peter Parker has been kidnapped by HYDRA and doesn't know what to expect, especially after he is joined by super soldiers Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. Peter hasn't encountered the rogue Avengers since the events of Civil War, and Tony Stark is still the only Avenger who knows Spider Man's secret identity. The three kidnapped heroes are quickly forced to learn to trust one another as a group of calculating HYDRA scientists begin a series of frightening and painful experiments on each of them. How long can they hold on in captivity? Will they be able to fight their way out? Will the other Avengers rescue them before the experiments have shattered them both mentally and physically? Only time will tell.

“It wasn’t my fault,” Tony defends. “That Spider-Guy never knows when to shut up. He distracted me.”
“Your reputation took a blow,” Pepper tells him. “Which will be fixed, of course. I’ve already set it up.”
“Set what up? What, am I going to make flower arrangements with the elderly?”
Pepper slides a piece of paper towards him. “Try an orphan. His name is Peter Parker. His biggest dream is to meet you. But…” She hesitates.
“But?”
“Apparently he doesn’t talk much. Sometimes not at all. Trauma-related.”
“A smart kid who doesn’t talk? Perfect combination. If only all my employees were like that.”

"Flash," Peter pleaded breathlessly, "you don't want to do this, okay? They're armed. Trust me, you don't understand."
"No, I think I do understand," Flash scoffed, unsurprised. "You've been a loser your whole entire life, but everyone here still adores you. Well, I'm done dealing with that, okay? Time for me to be a hero."
Peter's heart sank as Flash bumped into his shoulder and marched forward.
He stopped before rounding the corner when the faint sound of a gun being cocked echoed throughout the hall, freezing Flash right in his place. Peter turned on his heel in an instant, standing beside Flash protectively.
"But-but what is a hero, really?" Flash croaked with a nervous smile, side-eyeing the weapon suspended beside him as it softly nudged the side of his skull.
Peter slowly raised his hands in surrender, staring at Flash until he did the same, dropping the cans of pepper spray and the walkie talkies.
"We are so, so, so monumentally screwed."

See, his work isn’t all bad. (He tricks himself this way.) He’s on his feet, blasting his imaginary tunes. He’ll get another two hours of kicks out of this song, if he’s lucky. If he’s really lucky, he’ll finally get let off the hook with this shift, this shift that was supposed to be twelve hours but has already stretched to fifteen, this shift which shows no signs of stopping, this shift which needs to contract right back to twelve hours, please, and let him sleep!
And then his thoughts die right on the tip of his brain.
Ooh, wow, shit. Well, now Jack can count one reason why he’s glad to be on duty for the moment. That reason is in the shape of a boy--who looks closer to a living corpse--who’s just staggered through the doors.

While Leroy didn’t like gossip, he wasn’t immune to it and he’d heard about a young boy claiming to be Tony Stark’s intern showing up randomly throughout the building. He just figured it was some random mystery, a Stark Industries cryptid if you will.
Never did he think he’d have a sighting.
“Are you Peter Parker?” Leroy questioned, narrowing his eyes at the young boy, looking for any signs of deceit.
“Oh yeah, that’s me, hi!” Possibly Fabled Intern Peter Parker reached into his pocket and pulled out a badge and lanyard, this one with his face on it and INTERN written underneath it. “Mr. Stark got me a badge so I can get nachos whenever I want.”
