This is just my interpretation of how I think Professor Poopypants would've gotten hired as a science teacher if he had talked to Principal Krupp instead of Captain Underpants. The scene basically functions the same with just a few additions and changes. So the events after this scene play out just the same as does the rest of the movie.

Summary
My Captain Underpants AU where after a series of unfortunate events, Mr. Krupp gets hit by a cloning device called the Double-00-Melvin (you can guess who invented it). After the blast, he is immune to hypnosis, but the catch is that his clone is now Captain Underpants instead. The two must learn to co-exist and in doing so, they learn some things about themselves and each other. Written for an audience of kids and kids at heart. (Ask blog at cu-clone-au.tumblr.com)

Summary
This is a complementary work to "Artificial, not heartless", this time exploring CaptainAI's character themes. Oneshot.
In this AU, the 3D hypno-ring did not work, and instead George and Harold created Captain Underpants to save the world by fusing human Krupp with a computer and other things. Thus CaptainAI was created, but not without some serious bugs, glitches, and just a pinch of existential conflict.
