“I’m sorry,” Donnie choked out, bringing his arms around himself like a hug. “I’m so sorry.”
“Ya got nothin’ to be sorry for, Don. That’s not what I was tryin’ to—”
“No, you don’t understand,” Donnie said, voice low and raw, and now that he’d started he felt like he’d explode from the pressure of it, everything he’d been holding back. “I’m so, so sorry that I—that I killed you.”

After so long, Donnie is finally home from that horrible future, and he’s fine. Everything’s fine.
If only his brothers would believe that.
