Thanks for [AO3-7177]. I once had the damn thing delete the whole first chapter of a fic (thank heavens I had a backup!*) because of that bug, simply because I decided to add a prologue and make that into Chapter 1, in a fic that I'd already drafted as a single-chapter work. So I had to finally give up and post the fic as one chunk.
*Yes, of course I have backups and write my fics off Ao3--I am so oldschool I write all my fics in Notepad--but I always give my fics at least one proofread once they're drafted on Ao3, so I can check that all the formatting is correct. And I do so much tweaking and honing over several days and even weeks that it's unwieldy to keep on c/ping the properly HTMLed version into a separate file on my computer every time I change something on the draft. This time, I was lucky:P
