    All those papers and tests and theories, only to end up at that conclusion. They crossed their streams in the Speedforce and merged. Saving one reality at the cost of the other.

    starting a fight makes a lot of sense. Even if they were literally just talking civilly and even finding answers together just a very short time before.
    Barry yearns for the simplicity of a fist fight with his absolutely-not-anything-else-totally-just-a-nemesis, don't deny him this!

    Eobard is definitely his Lightening rod in this verse. His trusted person, even if they trust is....a bit twisted, he has an idea of what to expect, and so far seems to be about on point....He's just missing some uh. Obvious to A/B/O dynamic clues

    how far into the future was this Barry?... the details you give are a little vague on when he is from and how far he ended up in the past of the alternate universe.
    I once had a specific point I was thinking of... but whatever it originally was I've forgotten it, so Barry's future knowledge (or knowledge of futures) is not particularly set in stone and can borrow from anywhere. I'm sure he knows what a Flashpoint is though. (He and Iris did not manage to get together in his OG step to the left verse, but he knows they could have and thinks they might have eventually if they'd had more time and less bullshit.)
