God, this is fantastic! I didn’t think it was possible to see and want a happy ending for Cersei until you just went and DID it, how do you make that work like that? Probably because Olenna is the most amazing and can do anything she damn well feels like!
I love Jaime being the teasing insouciant wretch he is to Brienne, and Brienne straightening him out everywhere he needs it; and then they get their fucking happily ever after dammit!
And everybody is just a smidge more reasonable than they are in the series, and that’s all it takes to not have everything dissolve into chaos, war, and disastrous tragedies everywhere. Goddammit anyway.
I don’t know if you’re accepting prompts, but since you seem into this jam: I have always thought it is not nearly remarked upon enough that Jaime and Cersei dressed as each other and attended each other’s lessons well into their teenage years. I’m not even usually into crossdressing fics that much and I cannot get enough of how Jaime can probably quietly make up any gaps in Brienne’s embroidery skills, etc.…
(Also he probably would look better in a dress than she does)
!!! I'm so seconding that prompt! While Jaime has lost his dominant hand and he probably hasn't had the time to practice enough, there might still be something he could have a knack for. There had to have been a reason why he preferred Cersei's lessons to his own...
