    Thank you for letting Leif call Sigurd uncle. Sorry, was always a little upset though that the emblems never *really* interacted, not even mini supports. So I'm really happy to see them all able to do so here.

    Honestly, you captured the feeling of the chapter 10 cutscene really *really* well. Was grinning the whole time, eve though my heart was HURTING.

    I genuinely think you'd enjoy genealogy of the holy war's story, if you liked that bit of Engage.

    But truly. And I liked the inclusion of Zelkov and his interaction with Soren. As well as that, just the vileness Sombron felt about them all getting out alive. And good on you for noting they couldn't draw their weapons, the emblems.

    Overall, your Soren writing is really fucking good. Enjoyed his interactions with Alear, and he meshes really well with this cast and the conflict he does somewhat bring.

    Can't wait also, to see who the next pov emblem is, with Soren under the waves now.

      I love Engage, it's such a good concept, but sometimes the execution is a little... lacking. There are a ton of missed opportunities. We get unit/unit supports, unit/emblem supports, surely to round out the trifecta we should've got emblem/emblem supports! Although... I can understand why they didn't. If my maths is correct (19×18 I think) the total number of emblem supports combinations would've been 342. Times that by 3 and you get 1026 conversations in total. Even if they were mini supports like the unit/emblem supports, that's A LOT of extra work... Still. I would've paid for a 5th wave of DLC if it meant the Emblems could suppport with each other.

      I would love to play genealogy but I already have such a backlog of games I actually own that I probably wouldn't get around to it even if I had the ability to play it! Someday...

      Oh the weapons thing. Something that irked me about that cutscene was how the Emblems just... float there, looking a little worried. Its a bit goofy on repeated playthroughs and makes the Emblems look incompetent. In this fic, I wanted to emphasise how they did everything they could and clarify why they were so helpless. The image of the Emblems struggling to fight back just feels so much better than what happened in canon.

      Oh thank you! Soren is both very fun to write but also quite challenging. Getting the right balance of his cynicism and his hidden heart is pretty difficult so I'm really glad you enjoy how I write him!

      Would it be spoilers to tell you who the next POV emblem will be? Well, I'm not gonna name any names here because it'll probably switch around a lot. I've only got a few options but all the options have potential and all their perspectives are valuable.

        I think the math is wrong? For example Marth would have 18 supports then celica with 17 and so on and soforth. So we would end up 171 convos times 3 equals 512. So with the 2,337 bond convos that would be around 20% more conversations. That is conditional on if all emblems get support convos with all other emblems. With about 2.1 lines per convo about average rounded up that would be about 1,100 lines. Average amount of lines per emblem would be about 57. Not that many.
        I am just saying with 20 words per line that would be 22,000. This fanfic has more words.

        Also this is a great fanfic and thanks for writing it.
