Description:

OK this series has been going on for 2 years now and I should summarize it better.
The first part is several decades of, largely, Geralt and Jaskier's interactions, as they both fumble together toward some kind of meaningful understanding. That section largely concludes with a Jaskier/Geralt/Yennefer endgame.

Then there's a time jump, and the series picks up after the events of the Witcher 3 games. I follow Lambert as he copes with grief, and Keira as she learns new things about herself, and the lives they make.

I decided to tell the story of how Ciri became Empress after W3, which intersects with Keira and Lambert's adventures; I read the books somewhere in this and got invested in some of the themes they brought up. And entangled with this, I got interested in the politics of the North, especially the Upper Aedirn Free State and the threads laid down in the Witcher 2 game that didn't exactly get resolved in Witcher 3, and so I have several stories dealing with that thread, which will intersect with the other stories in the same timeline.

See notes for chronological dates and what order the stories really ought to go in!

Notes:

The series is largely in the order in which the stories' first chapters were published, but chronologically, the stories take place as follows, ordered by approximate date.

Dangerous Comforts is a prequel, set circa 1175
Learning Experiences is another prequel, featuring Geralt as a young Witcher and Lambert as a still-human boy, set in 1183.
Little Fishie begins circa 1240 but most of it is later, with chapters in 1241, 1243, 1244, and 1245.
Along Came This Song and Warmth occur in the midst of chapter 1, chronologically, of Little Fishie, in 1240 (and then Forty is a later follow-up to those, set in 1263)
Fugitive follows Little Fishie almost immediately, starting 1246 or so

Then the series' main timeline is all set pretty much immediately post-S1 Netflix canon, in 1263-1264, and follow on directly from one another:
Meet Death Sitting
The Miraculous Sisterhood
Innermost Depths
The Ancient Sea
[Forty is an extra from the Ancient Sea (but is really a follow-up to Warmth)]
Embroidery is a couple of missing scenes circa chapter 16 of Ancient Sea.
Under Torture is a follow-up to Ancient Sea.
What Mages Are Like is actually Ancient Sea's epilogue and should be read immediately following it.
This also begins a new series, which I'm leaving as part of this one but also splitting out into its own sub-series, Trust, which is Keira and Lambert et al 10 years later.

Aretuza Craftsmanship is a follow-up, those ten years later, to What Mages Are Like.
Now firmly set post-Witcher 3, with all spoilers applying, The Ideal Man follows on from Aretuza Craftsmanship to explore Lambert and Keira's adventures.
That storyline continues in A Delicate Hand, where the fluff is developing to grow some plot.
And the story Trust, where the plot really begins.
Very Dark Magic brings us straight into that plot.
Dusty Corridors is the plot aftermath and a lot of trauma recovery.
An Involved Process gets us back on the escalating plot train, with a side order of finally resolving some misunderstandings.
And Headache Remedy is a bit of smut to let us decompress after all that drama. Written partly as a gift for the Cunt Problems Club in the KM Discord.

A Delicate Hand is Eskel's intro to the later timeline, which sets up a plot thread that I plan to weave back in later.

Fit For Pearls was supposed to be like 5k of cute f/f, with Crown Princess Ciri adjusting to Nilfgaard and getting a hot secretary, but it's turned into an epic with OT3 setup leanings, and is now its own series.

And nowPeace-Tied is itsown series.

So, you can read in whatever order you like, and probably Meet Death Sitting is the best starting-place, and reading them interspersed might give some insight into how it developed in my mind, but should you find it confusing to know what happened when, there's the master list!
