Summary
It starts a year after moving out of the Academy.
Diego’s been on his own, renting a studio in the shitty part of town, as far away from Reginald’s influence as possible - which means no Mom to do laundry. So every other Wednesday, Diego takes his bag of clothes down to the local laundromat and reads shitty spy novels from the local library while his clothes wash and dry.
Only this time, he walks in and sees Klaus. There is no mistaking his brother, despite the lack of clothes. It seems in the year since he’s been gone his brother’s shamelessness has only grown as he’s sitting in just a pair of neon briefs.

Summary
Sir is on a three-day business trip. Sure they’ve been left a training schedule, but when even Luther is convinced to not follow it (by a plea from Allison for some alone time) everyone begins plotting their adventure.
“I say we go to the Mall. You remember the one we were sent to a few months ago on that mission to stop the Russian operatives using it as a hideout? Let’s go there and actually enjoy it! Food, clothes, other teenagers,” he lists, thinking of what else could entice his brothers. “Ben, they even have a bookstore,” he sings, and when Ben looks intrigued by the prospect he knows he’s won.

Summary
Diego always liked the way lipstick stains skin.
The first time he notices it is when his mother kisses his cheek after a well-done mission, and he sees the shape of her affection in the mirror back in his room. He doesn’t know that it’s not meant to stay on his skin so when he goes down to dinner that night Reginald sends him upstairs to wash his face. It doesn’t feel right to Diego as he scrubs the pigmented wax from his skin as if he’s erasing the traces of the little affection he’s granted.
During their teenage years, Allison begins to amass a collection of cosmetics from all their press junkets and he walks in once to her and Klaus practicing their make-up. Diego leaves with one kiss on his cheek, and he finds himself trying to crash his siblings’ make-up session again and again.

Summary
The first time Diego realizes he’s not like his siblings is when Mom names them.
He’s five, and he doesn’t understand a lot about what is going on, but he’s told that if he wants he can go by this other name and not Number Two. He’s not sure at first but the way his mother smiles when she says his name makes him use it.
It takes a bit for his tongue to get used to forming the sound, like all the other words in his vocabulary but he gets there. He’s in the middle of one of his speech therapy sessions with Mom when he asks how she chose their names.
