Summary
Before Aeva Lavellan took the mantle as Inquisitor, she was a scout for the largest Dalish Clan in Thedas. Born under unfortunate circumstances, she was abandoned and raised by two of the clan's elders who understood the girl was destined for greatness. But Aeva grew up a spiteful child filled with pride. At first, her intention was simply to survive and avoid her father at all costs. Though, as she grew into adulthood, she realized there was something more she wanted. She wanted her father to regret ever abandoning her. She wanted him to feel the pain she felt after living alone for so long. She wanted to not only make her name known across the Free Marches to the point he could no longer ignore her but surpass his title as the greatest Huntmaster the clan had ever seen. However, her hubris outweighs her ethics. And Aeva finds the clan has a different path for her to follow.

It felt like her mind was on fire, the inner pieces of her torn between breaking apart and setting the world a flame. Unwilling to snuff it out, Aeva drove herself to the brink of madness. She was forced to resign her way of fury. And went back to her familiar faces; the people she loved. But the world does not stop when ancient enemies arise. And the movements she makes are silent. Unknown to world above, she is tasked with moving a piece of her past. She must carry it, along with her regret, across the Free Marches. But her friends refuse to allow her to accept this burden alone. A well known person of interest is asked to act as her guardian to ensure she is not driven further into the same rage she once held. Though... she does not know his true nature. Somehow, terrified that the depth and the darkness while consume the fire inside her, she still finds herself at peace with him. She finds that perhaps the only ones who can comfort her... are those who have felt the flame as well...
