Viktor frowns. “What would we even do?”
This draws Jayce up short. He’s self-aware to know that for all Viktor’s talk of non-science hobbies and Jayce’s brief baking spree, neither of them have very good work-life balance. Most of their time is spent here, in the lab. Jayce doesn’t think he’s taken a single personal day off in…he doesn’t even know how long. Maybe never.
The silence carries. It’s summertime, Jayce thinks desperately. There must be something they can do.
