It’s said teasingly, but the chuckle dies on Zhongli’s lips when he sees the way Childe’s pupils have blown wide, the flush on his cheeks growing darker and spreading, rendering his freckles all but invisible. For a moment the two of them simply stare at each other, Childe with embarrassed arousal and Zhongli with what almost looks like awe.
“...I see,” Zhongli eventually hums, his mouth curling up at the corners in a pleased smile, deceptively gentle for the wicked gleam in his eyes.

“No shit I’m upset!” he snarls - and after the briefest possible moment of consideration, he decides to throw the second plate anyway. Zhongli steps aside easily, but Childe is already grabbing up a third. “You used me. I expect it from the Tsaritsa, but you? I–”
