Summary
"You have to come with me," he shook his head.
His tone offered little room for argument, but she didn't care a bit.
"Why?" Theodora demanded.
"Because, Miss Byrne, to the great sorrow of the both of us, my saving you means that you are my responsibility until another steps forward to take over that role. Should you get yourself killed out here through sheer force of foolishness, it is a stain upon my character as well as your own. Now, will you come with me, or will you force me to drag you?"
**
When Theodora Byrne wakes up one morning, no longer in her cozy modern bed, but adrift at sea - and on a sea that's home to pirates, both undead and living, no less - she has no choice but to rely on the charity, and the eventual kindness, of Captain James Norrington if she wants to survive. She has no way of knowing the feelings that kindness will soon foster...nor what she'll be willing to risk for a chance to save him from his tragic fate before the end.

Summary
A collection of snapshots, shorter storylines, and fluffy moments of James and Theodora that may not have fit into the main story, including fills for flufftober '22 and '23. Spin-off/semi-sequel to Catch the Wind. [Norrington/Modern!OC]

Summary
An AU of my James Norrington/OC story, Catch the Wind, prompted by a reader on Tumblr, in which Elizabeth (and not James) is the one to find Theodora Byrne after she falls into the world of Pirates of the Caribbean. Untrusting of this strange newcomer, her behaviour, and her motives, as well as what her intentions might be as far as the Swanns are concerned, James vows to keep a close eye on her so she can get up to no mischief. Then, after a time, he can't help but watch her anyway.
Will only follow the first bit of the story, up to the events of the first movie - because after a certain point it would just converge with Catch the Wind and end up being the exact same story all over again with one or two changes at most.

Summary
Upon educating her husband on modern dating practises, and spurred on by his teasing, Theodora decides to replicate some aspects as best she can - through the art of an utterly filthy letter.
James later decides to return the favour.
Mini spin-off/sequel to Catch the Wind - except it's mainly a vehicle for fluff and smut, so I'm not sure it's plot-heavy enough to count as a sequel.

Summary
Theodore Groves finds himself repeatedly running into a captivating pirate, until getting her off of his mind is entirely impossible - which is unfortunate, given that it's his job to catch and hang her sort.
[Theodore Groves/OC] -- Set in the same universe as my Norrington/OC fic, Catch the Wind, but you don't need to read that for this to make sense!

Summary
“What I don’t understand is why she had to die,” he said unthinkingly.
“Ha! You’re getting into it now!”
“If you’re going to insist on watching the damn things ten times a week, I can’t be blamed for noticing bits of them,” he replied sourly, leaning on the countertop. “But they bring him back in the next film, don’t they? Why not her, too?”
“The movie-verse explanation is that she was at peace.”
“Dying for a man who could barely pat her on the head in thanks? Oh, yes, very peaceful. Positively euphoric.”

Years ago, I wrote Catch the Wind, a Norrington/Modern!OC fic -- and then a friend floated the idea of an AU where James is the modern one, thrown into the POTC universe, and the OC, Theodora, is the canon movie character fated to die. And I'm powerless to resist suggestions like that. SO, here we have a modified version of POTC where Norrington is not a character in canon events, and THEN a fic within that where he *is* thrown into the story, trying desperately to save the life of the woman he finds himself falling in love with. It's going to be a behemoth, buckle up, maybe read Catch the Wind if you want full context, but it won't be vital!
