Description:

The drive to do what's right differs from person to person, ranging in intensity and nature. Save people, save the civilians who cannot defend themselves. Use an ability you were given to help your family. Cut yourself off from society and everyone you know to protect them because it's what right, at least to you. Being a hero or a superhero has so many definitions, so try putting eight under one roof who have a different foundation of what is right. Chaos. Weapons banned from the kitchen table. Arguing over poptarts. Pre-mission chaos as Cap finds his shield and Natasha her stingers (which Clint hid to save his neck.) Birthday parties. Struggles with their own PTSD and the other's. Arguments. Near-divorces. Engagements. Marriages. Comas and poison and stays in SHIELD medical, brainwashing. Love and the drive to do what's right in the battlefield. Ordinary life with comic logic. Ordinary life a day at a time.

So what happens when eight individuals, a ramshackle team of superheroes, takes another under their roof that throws off that fragile order? Chaos. If only Fury knew what he was getting himself into when he told Tony and Steve to adopt Peter. Might've save him a few headaches. Or a lot.

Notes:

XX
Actually the literal worst at naming things.

I'm writing a book, (or was) and some of the specific lingo from that is leaking into this. A 'pad' is a tablet. There's some stream of consciousness as you get halfway. That's all I can think of right now. Writing 5k years of history is not fun. Oh, and every 'chapter' is simply another character's monologue, so tell me if it's still confusing who says what.

I have a problem with tenses, feel free to point out if it's messed up or confusing.

My tumblr is here.

I write fanfic different than other people, I wish I didn't, but I just write this way. I'm trying to change that up.

The works Sticky Situation + Spiders and Octopi, Oh My + Down Came the Rain, Up Came the Sun have been deleted.

They were:
-two (three?) years old
-started after a nearly four (five?) year break from fanfiction
-written very quickly (multiple chapters a day, like 10k words a week)
-my first marvel works
-Horribly characterized some people
-out of sync with the prologue I'm writing (Out of the Ice, And Into the Fire, The Second Coming)
-written when I was still coming to terms with many things (my mental state, my lgbt status, college, etc) and reflected that chaos / shied away from topics
-before I refined fitting a lot of things into a scene
-before many Marvel movies because I was behind watching them, and was still catching up on canon/fanon Marvel
