Steve could smell Bucky’s cologne, feel the warmth of his body, trapping him, holding him, loving him. His eyes closed, a whine leaving his lips as Bucky sucked his neck, leaving his mark, though it wouldn’t last long. He kissed, nipped, bit and sucked Steve’s neck, pressing his body right against Steve’s, rolling his hips against the blond’s, so much so that Steve’s mouth fell open, panting in Bucky’s ear.
Finally, when Steve couldn’t it hold back any longer, he groaned, so fucking submissively, “then Buck, please, make me yours.”

Steve doesn’t say anything.
The fight had broken him.
The things Bucky had said – “I’m not the same, Steve, I’m never going to be!” – “I’m not a good person, you don’t need me” – “I think it’s best if I go” – “I love you Steve, but you can’t fix me” – “I can’t live a lie anymore, Stevie. I’m sorry.”
And then, he was gone. And Steve couldn’t make him stay. He had tried, oh he had tried. He tried until he’d talked himself hoarse, he’d cried and begged, but Bucky was gone.
“…he’s gone, Sam,” Steve finally croaked a while later. And Sam knew then. He knew then, that this was the last time he’d hear the Captain’s voice, for a long, long time.
