Summary
Elrond, meanwhile, looked Gil-galad directly in the eyes with a faint smile on his face. For the first time, Gil-galad was forced to consider the idea that he may not be dealing with two desperate Fëanorian hostages, but two beloved Fëanorian sons.
Elrond and Elros adapt to life in Gil-galad's court. Gil-galad does his best to ease the peredhil into life at court, convinced he's dealing with two traumatized hostages, but their behaviour slowly begins to prove otherwise.

Summary
The door behind him opened and the sound of twin gasps came from the entrance. The small smile that had been lurking on Gil-galad’s face widened, even as Celebrimbor’s heart fell. He did his best to make himself look small and unobtrusive, but there was only so much he could do, and he could not quell the sudden storm of rage he felt at the king for smiling. He was supposed to have taken personal responsibility for the twins. Did he not care for his charges? Did he not realize the harm exposing them to Celebrimbor could do?
Celebrimbor (reluctantly) meets the peredhil and finds himself immediately adopted by his strange new cousins.

Summary
Galadriel then explained the shift that had taken place in Quenya over time. The transition from “th” to “s” was most significant, but there were other sounds that had drifted, too, and everything in the way she spoke marked her as learning from a Fëanorian. Celebrían laughed with delight when she learnt the truth. This was worth at least three pages of teasing in her next letter to Elrond and she told her mother as such. She did not tell her mother that she thought Elrond’s accent was terribly attractive, but she had a horrible feeling her mother guessed anyway.
Celebrían meets Elrond, who still proudly identifies with the House and family that raised him, and immediately falls in love to the horror and amusement of everyone around them. It still takes them a millennia to get together.

Summary
“It is a lament,” he said in the common tongue, knowing Men did not understand the Noldolantë.“I know,” replied the man in Quenya. Maglor froze. The Man crossed the beach to stand beside him and continued, “It is much more guilt-ridden than the history I was taught.”
A strange Man finds Maglor lamenting by the coast and convinces him to go with him to Imladris to face judgement for his crimes. Maglor is not remotely prepared for the resulting reunion or the open acceptance and affection he receives even now.

Summary
She then turned to Elwing with something like pity in her eyes and said, “Oh, Lady Elwing, did no one tell you?”She took a step towards Elwing. A bolt of fear went through Elwing and she took a step back. The scarred stranger stopped, holding up her hands in a gesture of surrender.
“My lady, Maglor did not hurt your sons. He raised them well. I am told Elros became a great king of Men, and Elrond is,” and here she paused, and her smile grew brighter, but Elwing would not tolerate any further lies.
Elwing meets Elrond in a market in Tirion shortly after he arrives in Valinor. It does not go well. Both of them leave unhappy and a little less hopeful about the world.

Summary
For a few seconds, Gil-galad stared at him. Once he had processed the thought, he started to chuckle, then to laugh outright so loudly he startled the birds from a nearby tree. It took him several moments to calm down, and when he did, he managed to gasp,“Of course those little nightmares are actually my brothers,”
which explained absolutely nothing to Fingon.
Fingon reunites with his son, Gil-galad, and learns a little about what has been happening in Middle Earth since his death. Gil-galad reunites with Celebrian, and learns a lot about what Elrond has been up to since his death. And Elrond is planning something.

Nerdanel spends most of her life in isolation, unwilling to face the reality of what her sons became. She refuses most visitors, but something about Celebrían sparks her curiosity. Summary
“Elrond, please,” Maglor begged, desperate for his son to understand. “We are in Tirion. You know what I did. You know what my father did, what our family did. To dress so, and speak so, and to go so armed!”There was a pause as Elrond looked at him, considering his words. “Is there one law in this land for our family and another for others?”
Maglor, in defiance of all expectations, sails West with his son. Instead of the peace he expects, he experiences first-hand the chaos Elrond's pride in his adopted family and House can cause when he is not surrounded by those who already know and understand him.

Summary
The last thing he had known was endless heat as his skin blistered and flesh boiled in the fires of the earth, but now he shivered. It was dark, too, and the stars were bright overhead. The air smelled sweet and two figures stood a little way away from him, his brother Maglor and some other lord that Maedhros did not recognize. Both looked as though they had dressed hastily, throwing on cloaks over their sleeping-clothes
Maedhros is returned from the Halls of Mandos to his waiting family. But despite what they were told, not all hurts are healed in Mandos, and there are many new things both good and strange he must adapt to.
A kidnap-fam fic set in Fourth Age Valinor. Part of a series.

Summary
The next thing he knew was light, brilliant and golden as if from Laurelin itself. He blinked, shielding his eyes instinctively until they adjusted. The light source was nothing natural like a tree but a great orb of fire which hung in the sky, menacing those below like a great eye. So the Valar did not need his Silmarils after all, it seemed! They had done well enough without.
Fëanor is returned from the Halls of Mandos and placed into the provisional care of his adopted grandson for further healing. He grapples with adjusting to the Fourth Age of Arda and confronting the many elves who are apprehensive about his return. At least his grandson shows some promise.

Summary
“It is a difficult thing indeed to lose a daughter, but as you said, not all your kin are lost to you. Come visit me in my home. Let me teach you the things you should have learnt from your mother.”Elrond hesitated. That was to be expected. He had been trained to be loyal to his kidnappers. Thingol could be patient. He painted a gentle smile on his face and sweetened his voice.
“I am told you know a little of our festivals and our literature, but do you know our songs? Our dances? Do you know the food we eat and the clothes we wear? You should at least learn of your culture.”
After a disastrous first meeting, Thingol attempts to connect with Elrond, his one living male descendant. Elrond is more interested in negotiating peace between the Noldor and the Sindar. Neither get quite what they want.

In the small quarters he shared with his brother, he sat down and crossed his legs. Together, they reached out with their minds, brushing over the familiar minds of their followers and reaching out across the sea, calling desperately for Elrond. At first, silence was their only answer. But then something reached back.
Elrohir and Elladan sail for Valinor where they are reunited with their family and meet the rest of their kin. Together, they adjust to living amongst the heroes of the First Age and begin to search for a craft or calling to occupy themselves.

But as swiftly as his anger rose, he was distracted by who else was there and who was not. And ahead of his brothers stood his father.
Caranthir is reborn and struggles to adapt to life in Fourth Age Valinor. As strange as it is to have his father back, the strangest thing by far is the annoying half-elf his brothers have adopted.

Summary
Of course, Elrond was nothing but a mass of contradictions. He was Fëanorian, and yet not a kinslayer; he was Dior’s grandson, yet treated him as a son; he could well prove to be cruel despite his kind veneer. Logic suggested he should run from any Fëanorian as fast as he could. But if he ignored his hatred of the Fëanorians and looked at Elrond as a person, he found he liked what he saw. He had been honest with Dior from the start, even when it would have been more convenient for him to lie; he was patient; and he seemed kind and gentle. More than any elf he had ever met, he reminded Dior of Beren.
Elrond retrieves Dior, Elurín, and Eluréd from the Halls of Mandos in the Fourth Age and helps them adjust to life in Valinor as half-elves.
