Summary
“You know,” Zhang Hao says, hands folded neatly on the table in front of him, posture immaculate. “When you said we should have our next meeting somewhere different, I wasn’t exactly expecting jail.”
Two years after being adopted into a nice, normal family, circumstances conspire to throw Ricky back out into the world, and he leaves the police station with an impending court date and nowhere to live.

“Can I tell you a secret?”
The apples of Zhang Hao’s cheeks are flushed, and Hanbin knows the first glass has hit him already. It will hit Hanbin soon too, although he suspects he holds his liquor better than Hao does, from the glimpses, the treasured nuggets of information he has gathered over the years. His words aren’t slurred, his eyes are still bright, but there’s something looser in the way he leans over the couch, prompting Hanbin to mirror him and lean in. They don’t quite meet in the middle.
Sung Hanbin has three kids, a full time job, a bottle of wine and an empty house.
Zhang Hao has a secret to tell and nowhere else to be.
