Miranda was a witch. She may be dead and gone, but she has not run out of ways to bring these two fools she loves closer together. I can't say what she did or did not know in her dreams, but she knew there would be a child, and that she was the one who had to make that possible.
(James is pregnant. Cue a great deal of emotional connection, dismantling of toxic masculinity, and encountering all the demons of his past. James becomes the Maroons' Admiral and is adopted by the Maroon Queen and Thomas plants a flower garden and makes friends. James only attempts a single hostle takeover of a pirate ship and only almost shoots Hennessey once. He doesn't get to start a war, but not for lack of trying.)

Flights of fancy and fantasy that Thomas or James briefly entertained in the "A Change-Born Child" universe, developed into their own (one-shot?) AUs.
1) Thomas is King of England.
2) Thomas, James, and Miranda have a child in London together
3) Thomas is King, and Hal Gates is the Ambassador of New Providence Island
4) Thomas is King, James has a bunch of weird friends from Nassau.
5) Thomas is King, Hennessey is brought into the family. Hennessey POV.
6) Thomas is King. Sometimes that means he is alone.
7) Thomas is King. He begins feeding sermons to the Archbishop. James is troubled.
8) Thomas is King. He and James trade poems and political theory.
9) Thomas is King. He has to go to France for politics, and James has to go for France for politics, and now they are both in France.Series

Summary
Jim Hawkins grew up on a small island in the Caribbean. His fathers are a farmer and a fisherman, so far as he is aware. So when news of the death of Captain Jack Rackham reaches his island, he does not understand why his father is required to rescue the pirate Anne Bonny from prison in Jamaica. When he stows away aboard the ship, he begins to understand that there is much he does not understand. Fleeing and fighting for his life on an island purported to hold a treasure hoard named for his father, Gemma Hawkins discovers that John Silver isn't entirely trustworthy, his father is not at all a fisherman, and there are some things he knew all along without realizing it.
