Summary
In a world where everyone has the capacity of magic, the Governing Body of Magicians have deemed which spells are appropriate. Spells and potions are only available to those in specific in career fields as a means to establish a balance in society. Anything and anyone deemed a danger to the carefully crafted societal norms is locked up to sustain the socioeconomic balance. To fight against the GBM is an act of treason, but honestly, Lexa and Clarke have bigger issues.
Four bodies have been surgically dismembered in the small mountain town. Tondecey University's medical program is where Officer Lexa Heda is certain she's going to find The Surgeon. With Dr. Clarke Griffin's prior conviction for Misuse of Medical Spellwork, Lexa is certain she is the serial killer. Determined to prove her suspicions, she seeks Dr. Griffin's aide to catch her. Dr. Griffin, a single mother, is angry at the system that stripped her away her medical licensed and sentenced her to five years of servitude to the University finds the case a worthwhile distraction since the first three victims had been in one of her seminars. She agrees to help the broody cop with the hope that she will get the chance to fuck the officer senseless.

Summary
With a serial killer still on the loose, Clarke and Lexa have no idea who to trust. The world is bigger than Polis, and Arkadia is calling Clarke to face the consequences of her actions. As she fights against the wards limiting her magic once more, Lexa is learning to control the new level of power surging through her without blowing up a building.
