Summary
It was almost comforting, now, watching Sciel watch the sky with an almost peaceful reverence. Lune sits beside her, not quite lying down, if only to watch her face for a moment longer. "What do you tell them, anyway? The stars."
She's expecting anything, from the Nevrons to the Gestrals to the admittedly beautiful plains of the Continent, or the appearance of their new straggler, or…or Gustave, or even Maelle. Maybe even—
"Tonight, I'm telling them about you."
—Well, not that.
"You're…telling the stars about me?" she says, just a bit too loud, too surprised.
"Maybe a little," Sciel opens her eyes for a moment to glance at her, with a small smile. "Why? Would you prefer I didn't?"

Summary
"You've been training with Maelle," Lune says suddenly, one night at camp, in the very adorably demanding way Lune usually says things.
Sciel, who had up until this moment been monitoring the sleeping teenager, blinks. It's not unlike Lune to just walk up to someone and tell something straight to their face, but Sciel has not been the recipient of such an interrogation in quite some time. "Well. Yes."
Lune shifts from foot to foot. "Train with me, too. No weapons, no magic. Just us."

"Don't you find it funny? Lune, the moon. Sciel, the sky. There's almost a poetry to it, to the two of us."
"I don't entirely believe in poetry." The words come out almost too defensively.
Sciel stops, suddenly, and turns to watch her, still fidgeting idly with the bracelets lining her arm. "A musician who doesn't believe in poetry?"
"There are obvious metaphors worth rescinding, I think. You are bright and loving and warm, and I have always been cold. It's a tale told a thousand times."

Lune glances at them, almost considering it, before turning back to the journal. "That's nice, but I'm busy."
"It'll be fun!"
Maelle sticks out her tongue. "Lune isn't big on fun," she teases, and of course that's what causes her to finally snap.
