Summary
An accident the summer before 6th year puts Dumbledore's plans for Harry in motion sooner than planned. Will an unexpected truce with Snape better prepare Harry for what is to come? A Snape mentors Harry fic with all the regular players, a cottage by the sea, and the righting of past wrongs. This story, while AU after OOTP, follows canon as closely as possible. It is the first story of a completed five-story arc beginning the summer after Harry’s fifth year and ending at the end of the “eighth” year.

One Man's Island is part three of the five-part "Moment of Impact" Series, originally posted (and still posted in full) on the fanfiction dot net site. Part three is 7th year at Hogwarts, told from Severus' perspective as he takes on his Headmaster duties and watches Harry from afar.

Summary
Story 4 in the "Moment of Impact" story arc. The title of this story, "A Summer of Flotsam and Jetsam," is taken from the nautical terms. Flotsam is floating wreckage of a ship or its cargo. Jetsam refers to parts of a ship or its cargo tossed overboard to "lighten the load." This story takes place at Shell Cottage the summer after the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry and Severus are living together at the cottage. The story explores their relationship and healing, as well as the aftermath of the war and the battle on their friends and family, featuring Ron and Hermione, Minerva, Hagrid, Poppy, Luna, Neville, Andromeda Tonks, Teddy Lupin, Ginny, George and the rest of the Weasleys.

Summary
Back at Hogwarts for his 8th year, Harry deals with mystery correspondents and unusual magical ability.
This story exists as Part of the "Moment of Impact" universe and is part 5, immediately following "A Summer of Flotsam and Jetsam." This series generally follows canon with these exceptions: 1) Harry and Severus establish a mentor relationship after fifth year that grows into an unofficial father/son relationship and 2) Severus survives Nagini's attack. While the last two stories have been very introspective and relationship-driven, "Tuesdays with Severus" is a venture away from developing characters around and behind canon events, as there is no specific canon for 8th year. Thanks to all of the readers who are bravely going forward with yet another story in this series. There will be a Draco element here, which is not introduced in this chapter, but keep in mind that I try to follow canon, including the epilogue. And now - onward!
