Summary
An alternative spin on BloodyBouquet where Wendy and Alastor meet a year earlier after he kills a kidnapper- unknowing to him that there was a captive in the trunk. Still having a heart, Alastor can't bring himself to end Wendy even though she's a witness to murder.
This fic has themes of Stockholm Syndrome, all-consuming obsession, period-accurate bigotry (especially racism), and anything else you might imagine from a dark romance set in the 1920's
