Summary
This was not the way it was supposed to happen. There were twenty players on the team after all, so the odds of pulling his name should have been slim right? But no. With the luck Will had, it was no wonder that he had pulled Nursey’s name out of the hat.

Their game at Yale had gone into overtime and they had taken a while to leave the school while they waited for someone on second string was getting checked for a concussion. In all the rush no one had checked the updated weather forecast, which is how the team was currently stranded on the highway somewhere near Worcester.

Summary
It was finals week and it had been snowing nonstop. The upside was that there was nowhere to go and nothing to do but study. The downside was that the miserable overcast grey sky had taken up residence over Samwell and was draining the life from each and every student. The hockey team was no exception, and as Nursey walked to the Haus from a late night study session, he could see the outline of Dex in the window, probably coding away. From the looks of it, Dex hadn’t left in hours, probably only getting up to use the bathroom due to the amount of caffeine he was consuming.

Unbelievable. That was the word that came to mind as Dex tweeze bits of glass from Nursey’s face, arms, and feet. His defense partner was sitting on the edge of the bathtub looking a bit stunned.
Warning for a descriptions of an oral mouth injury. I know I hate teeth stuff sometimes so proceed with caution

Summary
New York in winter was beautiful. Nursey loved the way the city lit up, the way its inhabitants welcomed the weather, and the way the lights looked while snow danced through the air. And most of all Nursey loved showing off the city. His city.
Which is why he convinced Dex to drive to New York the day after finals so Derek could show him around NYC before Dex had to go to Maine for Poindexter Christmas.
“I can’t stay too long, you know that right?” Dex reminded Nursey an infinite amount of times as they planned the excursion and even on the ride down.

Summary
Shitty started the tradition when he moved into the Haus. While he thought the mistletoe and kissing balls had roots in a patriarchal society that was constantly working towards the objectification of women, he also saw the yuletide tradition as a way to get his friends and teammates to open up more.

Truth or dare?
Why was such a simple sentence loaded with such potential?
On the one hand, choosing either option could be harmless and fun. But on the other, it could cause humiliation, mental anguish, or exposure.
But maybe Dex was just building it up too much.

Summary
The strangest part of this was that it had been Jack’s idea. He’d seen it online and thought it was a hilarious idea, and Bitty didn’t have the heart to tell him that the trend stopped being funny, and started being worn out circa 2012. Which is how the Samwell Men’s Hockey team found themselves at the nearby mall on a mission to each pick out an ugly Christmas sweater, Jack’s treat.

Summary
There weren’t exactly a lot of forests in New York City and neither of Nursey’s moms were particularly fond of venturing into upstate New York. So when Dex mentioned that each year his family went to go cut down a tree the day after Thanksgiving, Nursey couldn’t stop himself from asking a million questions.
“Is it just any forest?”
“Do you really use an axe?”
“But what if it falls on you?”
“Please tell me you wear flannel when you do this?”Series

Summary
They agreed to make it work. After all Derek could write from anywhere and he was not letting his boyfriend pass up an opportunity to play in the NHL. Will for his part hesitated for many reasons, but once Nursey sat him down and assured him that he truly deserved this, the redhead signed with the Rangers. It began on Dex’s first roadie. The redhead was nervous about being away for the first time, and that night when Nursey sent him off to bed so he could keep working, he wrote him a note. Dex found it the next night as he settled into the hotel and smiled when he saw his name written on the outside of the notecard in Nursey’s handwriting.

Bitty baked. There wasn’t a recipe that Eric Bittle couldn’t tackle. Or so everyone thought. Everyone still thought that because they couldn’t see that right now Eric Bittle was standing in the kitchen of his and Jack’s condo, covered in flour and powdered sugar, and a pile of under and overcooked donuts beside him.

Summary
On of the greatest challenge in any relationship is the holidays. Parties, families, budgets, and presents. Even the small things somehow become stressful. Like gift wrapping. Sometimes couples meshed with their gift wrapping habits, and sometimes they didn’t. Basically a fic about everyone's gift wrapping habits.

Summary
The Haus had a marathon every year starting December 1. It was just like the holiday movie marathons that took place on TV stations each season, but curated to whomever was living in the Haus (or took up enough space there to warrant a slot). Each year, during Hausgiving, slips of paper were thrown into a hat and pulled out randomly, making up their movie marathon schedule. Not everyone had to be present in the living room for every movie, but each day in December, at 8pm, the Haus Holiday Film Fest began.

Summary
Delayed. Cancelled. Delayed. Cancelled. That was the pattern going down the board at Logan Airport, a few days before Christmas. A snow storm had blown, bring more snow than expected, and it wasn’t letting up anytime soon.
As he walked passed security, back into the main terminal, he spotted a familiar shock of red hair and strided over, hoping his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him. “Poindexter?” he called out, and was relieved when Dex turned around startled by his name being called.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Dex asked for what was easily the tenth time.
“Yes, I promise they’ll like you and I wasn’t going to leave you in the Haus alone this time of year, not after everything that happened,” Nursey replied, holding Dex’s hand as they rode the New York bound train.

Summary
Birthmas was the worst. Not that Lardo knew first hand, but she could see how much it sucked from the way Shitty approached his birthday every year. By the time she met him her freshman year, Shitty had resigned himself to going out for a cup of coffee with Jack during the last day of finals as a birthday celebration. After all, by the time his actual birthday came around he’d be back in Boston, stuck at some Knight family gala, his parent’s forgetting that their son had been around for another year. What few friends he still tolerated from Andover were mostly wrapped up in holiday parties of their own or family obligations.

Summary
Cocoa. Dex was ordering cocoa. For all that the redhead chirped him for getting sugary, complicated drinks at Annie’s, here was his d-man getting hot chocolate.
“What’s so weird about getting hot chocolate?” Dex asked as they walked out, Nursey sputtering in his wake. “It wouldn’t be weird for most people on the team aside from Jack, but for you? You scoff any time I get something sugary or trendy, your words not mine, and here you are getting basically heated chocolate!”
