The story seemed promising for the first 8 of 10 chapters, but in the end, nothing interesting comes of the unique changes. And the big changes don’t feel justified, and instead feel like mere rehashes of common fanon plot points.
Fighting: Sakura takes Zabuza’s sword, but we barely get to see her use it – we don’t see it at all after the Chunin exam starts. Sakura becomes an Aburame and takes a hive, but we never get to see her fight with it – .
Friendships: Sakura’s friendship with Shino seems out of nowhere and I don’t understand their connection enough to feel like it’s earned when his family adopts her. Sakura makes friends with Hinata, but we never see them talk again – what was the point?
Sasuke: Sasuke is prevented from changing sides only by Sakura not being a fan-girl and by her mercy-killing Zabuza, but that also doesn’t feel earned. Sasuke’s thoughts that he likes his team after the Wave incident don’t seem justified by the small, irrelevant matter of Sakura killing Zabuza. And I could maybe buy that her not being a fan-girl makes him stay, but the story doesn’t spend enough time in Sasuke’s head to really convince me of that. The story also just begins with saying she got over her feelings for Sasuke, rather than showing how it happens, so the effects of that don’t feel earned.

VERY different from canon, and not so much in a good way. The characters' storylines and behavior/attitude are not consistent and occasionally will dramatically change from one of their PoV chapters to the next.
Jon is really cocky and arrogant, and is outright rude and belittling towards Daenerys when they first meet, which doesn't even happen until like 20 chapters in. They don't have chemistry and their interactions are so short and few in the story, that Jonerys ends up not really even a theme in the story. -

The story is intriguing and interesting yet the ending is shit. The prophesy part is taken heavily and then dropped as it is a hot feather. Yet it is not a feather so the story is smashed into the very depths of hell.
Very very disappointed with this fic. It had great potential.
I liked the characterizations. I think the author just got bored at some point although didn't want to abandon it so instead written a quick, shallow and unapologetically bad ending to the story.
4/10 not rec.
