“I know you do,” her brother murmurs, tugging her into his arms, “I know you do,” he repeats as she hides her face in his chest and sobs. “I know you do,” he says again. His voice sounds funny that time and Katie wonders if maybe he’s crying too. The thought scares her. She’s never seen her big brother cry before.
“I called Coach Cal Dad,” she informs her brothers.
Next to her, she can feel Kyle stiffen, “That’s not a question,” he mutters.
“Did he cry? I bet he cried," even over the phone, she can tell Ty is smiling.
