Summary
It's been a couple of days after the crash of the Nautiloid.
Gale, Durge, and Astarion scout the beach for clues and anything of use as they still try to understand and adjust to their situation and the odd team they make.
All's well, as far as the circumstances allow, until an ambush from a devil in the shadows.
One fist fight later, the ambush turned out to be a regular run-in, and the devil is not a devil at all, just a surprisingly tall and grim-looking tiefling who introduces himself as D'ylân, the wandering bard and fellow survivor of the kidnapping and crash. Just a regular drifter with a flair for the dramatic when it suits him and a winning smile.
But it isn't until another encounter where D'ylân is mistaken for a devil that he agrees to join the trio, much to the delight of Gale, the appreciation of Durge, and the horror of Astarion. Where others see a potential friend and ally, the alleged elf sees nothing but danger and a threat.
In short: A turbulent beginning of D'ylân and Astarion's Sanguine Sonata love story that is all story and little love at first.

The rule over a tribe of goblins with intimidation and fear, taking what they want with no regard for others. They couldn't have predicted that taking one ziicubus as a slave could cause four individuals to come together with the shared goal of freeing their prisoners and taking them down.
