Something was off. Very off. About Adrian but specifically Vigilante.
It was almost as if Adrian used Vigilante as an armor. Chris was pretty sure that was the case.
But, the thing is: lately there didn't seem to be any more Vigilante in Adrian, not even while wearing the suit. There was just… Adrian. And even that wasn't quite right. Adrian himself was also a lot off.
Or: someone from Adrian's past comes back and it all goes downhill.

“Oh.” Adrian stood up a little straighter. “Well, the thing Leota told me to talk to you about is that I’m in love with you. Just you, obviously. Sorry, Eagly.”
Eagly squawked gently, but Chris barely heard it as all the blood rushed to his head. Adrian just stared, face characteristically blank, offering no further explanation.

And then, as he turns his head to ask what his idol, his hero, the love of his life, could possibly want out here in the middle of nowhere, Adrian jumps in his seat as he finds that Chris' handsome, chiseled face is right there, just inches away from his own, and before he knows it, the guy is giving him a light peck on the lips and all Adrian can do is stare, wide-eyed, in complete and utter shock.
It's only a second. One second of pure unmitigated lip-on-lip contact, but before he can even register it, Chris pulls away and immediately tells him, "Don't be weird, dude."
Takes place during episode 4, in which Chris and Adrian take a detour during the drive to see Chris' father in jail.

By chance, Piers meets the legendary Chris Redfield right when his life is starting to fall apart. Chris can't help but take him in and help him build his life back up, and slowly, Piers starts to find meaning in his life again. He's honing his sniping skills, he's working part-time to try and keep himself busy outside of his military career. Somewhere along the way, he meets Finn. Maybe Piers should have listened to Chris's disapproval of him wanting to date a sixteen year old, because when rumours start circulating, Finn being underage is the least of their worries when people need to blame Finn's bruises on someone.
