“Are you saying Jae Won isn’t safe here?” Kang Hyuk’s voice was low and measured, but there was no mistaking the edge beneath it. “In this hospital?”
Geum Son met his gaze. “I’m saying… if they wanted to send a message, they have already picked the stage.”
Kang Hyuk felt something cold crawl up his spine.
Still, he held his ground. He always did.
“I’ll take care of Jae Won,” he said at last, voice quieter now, but firmer. “Don’t worry. You just focus on getting better.”
