Summary
Sakusa Kiyoomi is pretty, slouched against a bar. He’s got a tight black turtleneck that molds to his skin, and the golden lights above their heads contour him like they were designed for that express purpose. His hair falls in nicely coiffed curls, inky black. His eyes are dark, dark, dark. Atsumu smiles at him, putting all his charm into it.
Sakusa looks downright murderous. Atsumu wonders if he should feel fear.
“They warned me about Inarizaki’s hair-brained heir to the House,” Sakusa sneers. “Nothing could have prepared me for such inane levels of incompetency.”
“Did’jya swallow a dictionary before ya came out tonight, Omi-Omi?”
“I would have swallowed arsenic if I’d known you’d be here.”

Summary
One moment, Atsumu’s walking towards the stadium entrance, the next he’s getting body-checked by what feels like half the band. He lands flat on his ass, almost falls off the sidewalk into traffic, which, holy shit! Holy shit. His ex-boyfriend is actually trying to kill him.
Osamu, the jerk, stands over him pinching the bridge of his nose like he’s the one being inconvenienced here. “You’re really gonna die before the tournament ends, huh? This is gonna be so embarrassing to explain to Ma.”
The Inarizaki High School Volleyball Club is going for the gold in the 2014 Spring Interhigh. They’ve just got to overcome a vengeful Inarizaki marching band, Atsumu’s many talented volleyball crushes, and the twins’ communication issues first. Easier said than done.

So sincerely, like he wasn’t a faceless being in the way, or a nuisance for asking questions, or public enemy number one because he’d inadvertently reminded the teacher that homework was due simply by turning in his own well before the deadline.
He smiled like Tooru was a friend. Someone he already knew and even liked.
So genuinely. So patiently. So beautifully.
And really—who wouldn’t fall in love with Iwaizumi after that?
