“Tell me,” Zoro repeats quietly.
Sanji smiles. “Your swords deserve better,” he says, just as quietly. His hand moves to take Zoro by the chin and Zoro is frozen at the touch of cool fingers like he’s never been before, halted in his tracks by one simple stupid touch like he’s worth nothing at all – and Sanji holds him there like he’s got the power to do it, leans forward, and presses his lips to the opposite edge of Wadō Ichimonji’s hilt. Zoro can smell the familiar acrid tang of cigarette smoke, can hear the quiet rasp of lips against knotted silk, can feel the gentle wash of Sanji’s breath.
