“Sam,” Alberta says, batting her lashes and shimmying her shoulders, even though Sam can’t actually look at her, “do you remember last year when you started decorating for Christmas, and they were playing all those horribly cheesy, sappy, romantic movies on TV?”
“You mean the Hallmark movies?” Sam asks in response, still walking forwards to where they’re putting the tree.
“The ghosts are here?” Jay asks, “Which ones?”
“I think all of them.”
Alberta carries on as if the conversation between Sam and Jay never happened. “Yes! Those movies!” All the ghosts nod their heads. “When can we start watching them again?”
