Summary
Maybe it's lonely at the top. Maybe it's lonely hiding. But Dai Yanqi can never regret having to wrap up almost everything that's made up her so that she could play Glory. Never regretted the fact that she would never stand next to her teammates when they won, all so that she could play. Never regretted it but on some days the taste of bitterness in the back of her throat was all too familiar.

Summary
Beyond the Blackwall was the domain of gods and monsters. So it has always been, ever since the disaster known as the DataKrash sundered the Net and reduced the world to a shadow of its former glory. Netwatch knew this, and so did the governments and megacorps. And so for a time no one dared to overstep their bounds, knowing what waited on the other side.
But time diminishes all memories, and eventually humanity looked towards that forbidden realm once again. Who cared if those that lurked behind could bring about another apocalypse when there were riches to be found?
Someone was bound to make a mistake eventually. And so a being built to fight wars for a long defunct megacorp followed the path that had been foolishly opened for it to the other side of the Blackwall.
They say that there are no happy endings in Night City. Does that saying apply to things that were never human to begin with?
