He goes still, the air freezing in his lungs.

It’s the only thing he knows how to do, isn’t it?
It’s what they wanted for him.
It’s what he became.
And now, as an adult, he’s wandered. Waited. Found ways to keep himself busy, but achieved nothing through his own initiative or merit.

Narcissa Malfoy betraying Voldermort to save her son brings Draco Malfoy, reluctantly, into the folds of The Order. This does nothing to dull how much Hermione Granger despises him, or vice versa. In close contact with each other, it's predictable that the underlying tensions will come to a boil.

Summary
Hermione Granger constructed a predictable life for herself following the war. However, she realizes that within the constraints of control there is no room for want. In an uncharacteristic move, she flees her life in London to visit Neville, who works as a gardener at the Zabini Estate in Italy. The Estate, now a wellness retreat for elderly witches and wizards, is also the refuge of three of her Slytherin classmates that she has not seen since the war. This is a story of overcoming assumptions, judgmental garden gnomes, flowers, and the quest for contentment.

Hermione Granger is an archivist at Malfoy Magical Pharmaceuticals and she's long harbored a crush for her boss' boss...Draco Malfoy. However, given that she's only spoken to him three times, she's worried that it may all be for naught. A helpful suggestion from an issue of Witch Weekly gives her an idea: Polish up on introductions, learn to do them gracefully. But when will she get the opportunity? Thankfully a broken down lift intervenes to save the day.
