Summary
Nathan "Nate" Sharp is a fertile Omega, a beautiful one at that. He is the ideal surrogate womb and the auctioneer makes sure to mention it to the potential buyers. Nate hates the entire system in which he is ensnared, but he is powerless to do anything about it.
The man who comes to claim him is nothing like the Alpha's he was warned about in his youth. As a matter of fact: he is the first person to show Nate kindness in a long time. Mark Edward Fischbach is a friendly, gentle Commander. His Wife, Sean William "Jack" Fischbach-McLoughlin, on the other hand, is exactly what one would expect when thinking of "a jealous spouse". He is cruel and harsh towards Nate out of fear of being cast aside.
Nothing goes the way it is supposed to, and Jack's behavior starts taking on extreme forms. Nate starts getting more desperate day by day. He actually begins to resent Jack, only to find out that the bitterness only serves as a mask for a brokenhearted man with many secrets.
He seeks solace with Mark, but he has secrets of his own.
Why is there a small grave hidden away in the garden? What happened to Ethan? What is Mark's past with Tyler? And where does Jack disappear to when he goes to see "the doctor"? -

Summary
Adelaida didn't know how to describe the horrific memories she possessed. Although she was finally on the path of understanding that her experiences were far from normal, she still wanted to see her abuser again: she still longed for the attention and affection the bearded man used to shower her with. She missed the times in which he was nice to her.
The Bearded Man - Adelaida refused to refer to him by any other name - was in fact her father's best friend, and the two had known each other for many years. His name was William.
The abuse began when Adelaida was but three years old. Her mind was still pure and her spirit gullible.
Whenever the man would visit, he would ask Adelaida to sit on his lap, or he would ask her to cuddle him. Adelaida's parents didn't think anything of it. William never had any children of his own, despite his deep wish to have them someday. Even more so: Adelaida loved his sweet and slightly shy demeanor.
Her parents never suspected him.
Over time, the requests would get more explicit. He would ask her to kiss him on the cheek and to say that she loved him. Although she didn't necessarily feel that way, she always said it with much conviction. -

'I am not insane! Just see the goddamn pictures! I swear to God that it's there!' The two men who had passively flanked him before now grabbed him and began to haul him away.
His wife simply looked on, too fearful to interfere. Never before had he raised his voice. Not to her, that is.
Little did they know that they would never get to see each other again.
And all of that for a few pictures on which Adam thought he saw faces in the ominous mist.In a place where nothing is what it seems, proving your sanity might become quite... complicated. Perhaps it would be a more sensible choice to submit to your fate.
Or would that serve as a confirmation of your insanity? -

Summary
Amanda Young possessed many qualities, but she was far from perfect. Her willingness to admit her faults grew as she spent more time with John, as did the ugly monster that resided in the back of her head, feeding off of her insecurities. That monster was called "Jealousy". For the very first time, she felt genuine jealousy. Perhaps it had even evolved to resentment over the months she spent with John. The one person who refused to take part in John's life work was the very person to who he had chosen to devote his heart. Yes, he devoted his entire heart to a woman who unworthy of him and his capabilities.
Jill Tuck might have been the woman who carried his child all of those years ago - the child Amanda had ultimately killed - but she was no longer devoted to him.
But Jill was not the only woman Amanda envied: Dr, Lynn Denlon had also earned herself a negative image. The woman tried to get John dependant on her by postponing the necessary treatment.
