With nothing on his processor but the regret of his actions and the wholeness the Lost Light provided him he lets his spark sputter out without a fight. His last fight was over, his time was done.A universe away her Majesty Megatronus is poisoned, and her spark sputters out in a fever she could have never predicted. Her kingdom by conjunx rights is in a skirmish and her conjux his Majesty the King, Optimus Prime, is half the continent away. She dies bitter and hurt.
And someone familiar wakes in her place.

The Pale King shuddered.
His scales itched and he desperately wished to go back to sleep. If he could avoid this dreadful responsibility for even one more day, he would be a very happy higher being. He couldn’t, of course. Too much depended on his presence, he had to be there when the eggs hatched and he had to light the way for them.
