Sabo wanted to be better. Replaying that night over and over again in his mind, made him hyperfixate on his mistakes. He found himself obsessing over every moment, mistake and misstep. Every moment he wished he could do over. Make it even better for the both of them.
So when the next mission briefing came and the plan called for someone to use charm and seduction to get close, Sabo spoke before he could second guess himself. And for the first time in his life, he volunteered.
And the sex was horrible.

Summary
When Smoker finally comes home, it’s 11:45 and he desperately needs a shower.
He slams the front door shut with the heel of his boot and exhales through his nose, dragging a hand down his face. The air is thick and humid, clinging to him with the stench of sweat, street grime, and motor oil. His patrol car had broken down halfway through shift, and the precinct mechanic gave him a replacement that needed 5 minutes to start.
His shoulders ache. His lower back complaints in motion. There’s a bruise forming on his hip from slipping during a chase that shouldn’t have happened on foot, and all he wants is hot water and silence.
Instead, he hears music.
