"Fangs," Mira said, darting her eyes. "She has fangs."
Zoey opened her mouth and closed it, "And how do you know she has fangs?"
Mira then pulled down the collar of her shirt, revealing a bite mark on the left side of neck, near where it met the shoulder, "Cuz she bit me."
"Not fair! I want Rumi to bite me!"
Or, Zoey has been observing Rumi's habits ever since the Idol Awards. Column A are traits she has assigned to "Rumi" and column B are "Demon" traits. She's not so sure that the lines don't blend.

"May I?"
Rumi's expression is still in that half-confused state, but she nods. And the moment the frames hit her face, her nose twitches almost as if about to sneeze. She doesn't, obviously, which gives Mira some time to adjust the frames to fit better. More loose hair is pulled away from the face and ears, until the glasses rest snugly against Rumi's face.
Mira steps back to admire her handiwork.
And then, she immediately realizes her mistake.
One, the frames that Rumi chose might have rounded out Mira's appearance, but they also complemented her own sharp angles, carrying a fierceness that was expected. On Rumi's face, the lines melted into the background, and the roundedness of the glasses was on full display. They complimented Rumi's softness and made her look so much more gentle with the glasses on. Paired with Rumi's still somewhat confused look, she looked so adorably cute that Mira might have gone to heaven.
Two, Mira underestimated her own ability to withstand such beauty.
Mira goes shopping for new glasses frames with her girlfriends.
Or: That's it. That's the fic. There's nothing more hiding behind these doors.

"Somebody's gotta supervise you in the kitchen, right?"
It was Rumi's turn to snort, now.
"Is that what you're calling it?"
"Well, what else would it–"
"Snacking," Rumi interrupted, tapping her finger against Zoey's back. "Ogling. Being cute and distracting."
"I am also dispensing necessary tips and tricks, and providing life-saving firefighting advice, and–"
And at that moment, a whump sounded from the direction of the stove.
"Ah… Rumi?"
"… Yes, Zoey."
"Is that–?"
A bone deep sigh that Zoey could feel as strongly as the heat from the fire.
"… Yep."
