Summary
When I was writing the timeline for another story, I was struck by just how amazingly long Aragorn lives. He outlives: Prince Imrahil (d. FO 34), Eowyn (d. "Early fourth age"), Éomer (d. FO 62), and Faramir (d. FO 82), among others.
And so I thought about loss, and how Aragorn must feel, outliving everyone he loves. And I wrote this, about Aragorn at Éomer's funeral.
(This is a gift to the person who writes some of my favorite Fourth Age of Arda fic.)

Summary
The centuries-long warfare between the superpowers of Second-Age Middle-Earth, Sauron and Númenor, enters a new phase, which sweeps up Amandil, an untested young nobleman of Númenor. When his first battle goes badly wrong, Amandil must work together with other survivors, including a cousin who hates him and a famous mercenary captain who doesn't respect him, so they can lead their people safely back to friendly territory. On the long and dangerous journey, Amandil is forced to deal with the problems of food, politics, family, the emotional burdens of war and leadership, and how to escape a giant army chasing after them. This is the first chapter of a series of planned stories following the life and times of Amandil, father of Elendil, culminating in the apocalyptic end of the Second Age.

Summary
For Anna_Wing, who asked me a long time ago for a glimpse of Harry/Draco in which Harry is a girl. It got buried in my quagmire of WIPs and unburied and blinked at in surprise while I was looking for something else.
