“Really, Buckley? When I’m not on shift?” Eddie asks, sounding exasperated. Buck knows better though. While Eddie does often sound exasperated because of Buck’s antics, he knows that there is a large amount of fondness hiding under it. “What happened this time?”
Buck smiled softly, knowing that what he was getting ready to say would send Eddie into a small spiral. “Oh, you know. A ceiling fell on me.”
OR: A ceiling falls on Buck and things are revealed, showing the years to come in their relationship.

Chimney blinks. “Eddie,” he says. “Who’s Eddie?”
At that Maddie barks out a laugh and claps a hand over her mouth, which is adorable. “That’s funny,” she says, but then her eyes settle on Chimney’s puzzled face. Her eyebrows shoot up. “Wait, you don’t- you really don’t know?”
“Uh. No.”
“What do you- oh my god, he usually can’t shut up about him. I guess it really is worse than I thought this time.”
“This ti- Maddie, please, take some pity on me. What is going on? Who is Eddie?”
Maddie’s face does something complicated then. There’s a flash of sadness, then she smiles, but it seems a little defeated. She scratches her chin and reaches for her wine, before she says, “my brother in law.”or: Chimney and Hen have the new guy figured out. Or so they thought.

Drake rubbed his face as he approached the screen. “Okay. Due to persistent, aggravating, relentless nagging—” he cut a pointed look at Kon, “—I will now be walking you through the events surrounding my retrieval of Bruce Wayne from a temporal displacement, why Ra’s al Ghul keeps sending me flowers as part of a murder-proposal pact, and why I am, as of last quarter, the CEO of Wayne Enterprises.”
There was a beat of stunned silence.
“All of which,” Drake added dryly, “are, somehow, related.”
“Wait—flowers?” Richard said. “From Ra’s?”
“What the hell is this timeline?” Stephanie mumbled.
Kon said nothing, just gave Timothy a supportive nudge and plugged in the drive.
The screen blinked to life.
